I don't think the umpire wanted to have the game end on a HBP (it glanced his left bicep everso slightly imo), but walking the winning run in was priceless.

About last night...

That's two in a row now against the Yankees. Now if we could only have these kind of results when playing the rest of the MLB, we might be ok.

Big win for the Phils tonight coming into the series with the Mets. J-Roll went 4-6 with the game winning hit in the 10th inning and Utley hit 2 HR's (both caught by the same guy, what're the chances?).

I don't know what to think about the Series with the Mets. The Phils are throwing 3 minor league pitchers and Cole Hamels (I think the average age for the 4 starters is maybe 23). Burg seems to think the Phils will beat them with the rookies and Hamels will get pounded but we'll see. Big series for both teams.

Hmm, we did smack that Mathieson kid around last year. Maybe there's hope.

Pelfrey was going to come up for a game today, but with the rainout yesterday, Duque can go instead.

Three minor leaguers?? Thats spells doom for the Mets!! They always seem to play like utter shit against minor leaguers, bums and journeyman pitchers. Just the other day they made 0 - 9 Anthony Reyes look great! <grrrrr>


In that Philly bandbox anything can happen since you only need to flick your wrist with the bat to hit a homer. I think its a HUGE series for both teams.
