Mets hung on 6-5 in the first of a Philly twinbill and now lead 2-0 in the third with Hamels' pitch count already through the roof. Looks like a rough weekend for the City of Brotherly Love.
I was pretty damn nervous there with Willie letting Wagner go for his second save of the day and that motherfucker met-killer Burrell as the tying run at the plate with two outs. Wags too care of that fool with a slider low in the zone. I'll be berry berry pleased if the Mets knock that rook tomorrow and win the series (then go for the sweep!).Quote:

Phils really really need to win tomorrow or the season is basically over. I've always thought the Mets were an overall more talented team but that doesn't mean the Phils don't have a shot, but if they end up 7 games back it's pretty much done.
