No, the silver lining is that your fantasy team still fucking sucks.
Confimed.

He offered something shitty to me the other day too:
Cano and Damon for Figgins and Hoffman.
LOL
Nice to see John Maine step up and pitch a great game even if its against the shitty Astros. 7+ innings and 9k's. He threw around 120 pitches and I could tell Dr. Willie didn't want to go to the garbage bin (ie: bullpen) unless he truly had to. So Maine is now 10-4 and he should be in the All Star game but whatever...
Blue Jays GM regrets signing Burnett..
oopsQuote:
Blue Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi publicly criticized A.J. Burnett on Fan 590, saying if he had it to do over again, he wouldn't have signed the right-hander.
Ricciardi thinks Burnett should be more willing to pitch through pain. "I don't know if it's psychological," Ricciardi said, "I don't know if it's just (that) he gets to a point where he feels something (that) he's so scarred from being hurt so many times that he just backs off, but I think he's going to have to get over that hump at some point and just maybe pitch through some pain or realize the difference between being hurt and really being hurt." Ricciardi later said that if he had known how successful the young pitchers would be for the Blue Jays, he wouldn't have spent the money on Burnett, "just because I would have that pitching lined up." If Ricciardi only had the gift of foresight, we're sure he'd be a much better GM. But if it was Paul Godfrey with the gift instead, Ricciardi never would have been hired in the first place.
It's a fucking disgrace that Maine isn't going to San Fran but guys like Hamels and Oswalt are. What a joke.
Theres some talk this is either his way of lighting a fire under Burnett or an attempt to get Burnett pissed off enough to exercise his option to become a free agent whenever that option comes up.
Of course, he can afford to go off on Burnett because McGowan and Marcum have saved his ass by figuring out how to pitch at the major league level.
That's fucked up; GM's shouldn't publicly humiliate their players like that if they expect future free agents to consider signing with the team.
Nor should managers get into fights with players, but you know.
