Pitchers are a little different I think. A lot of pitchers can come into the league and be dominant for their first year and maybe second and then scouting reports and experience catches up with them and they become just another pitcher. A guy like Reyes wasn't really that good when he came into the league and climbed the ladder to become that elite player that he is now.Quote:

Phils managed to put a stop to the streaking Rockies and won 8-4 today while Madson pitched a 3 inning save (with that bullpen I would be scared to give the ball to anybody else). Interesting stuff happened during a 7th inning rain delay. A strong storm came out of nowhere and several crew members were flung into the air and at least one was trapped under the tarp. After the crew was having a lot of trouble most of the Phillies scrambled onto the field and helped with the tarp and were applauded by Rockies fans.

Not happy about Wagner throwing a meatball down the middle to Victor Martinez but I'm happy the rest of the Mets rep did their thing at the ASG. The Ichiro inside the parker was fun to watch and he is having a tremendous year. It looks like Ichiro and the Mariners are finalizing a 5 year extension and he's better than ever these days.
Nice of LaRussa putting in Pujols to pinch hit with the game on the line..oh wait.. he didn't. Moron. Pujols sure isn't happy and I doubt the rest of the NL is happy with LaRussa either.
In the end this exhibition means shit and home field advantage is overrated as hell. I pray I can get a ticket to next year's ASG at Yankee Stadium but I know that won't happen unless I pay thousands of buckaroos for it.
I want to shave all of LaRussa's skin off and dip him in a pool of Tabasco. I fucking hate him. I am glad he is still managing because it's keeping him out of the booth. He is so stupid.
