Yes. I was a teenager when the O's were actually good so I didn't quite know their organizational structure. All I knew was, they were perennial contenders in the AL East and after Angelos (I just think it's ironic he has "angel" in his name when he's actually the devil) took complete control over the team - they became one of the worst teams in baseball. What is it now, 9 years in a row with a losing record (soon to be 10)? Fuck Angelos. I hope financial karma kicks him in the ass. He took a once proud organization with a winning heritage and turned into a "I don't care if we win championships, I just want my money" franchise.
But it's necessary.
Brandon Webb is out of control... he'll never give up another run. Eric Gagne continues to stink up the joint. What a disaster of a trade for the Sawx.
Gagnerrhea amirite?
Speaking of the O's, Chris Ray is having TJ surgery and will probably be out until 2009.
I think what Webb has done is a hell of a lot more impressive than what Jenks did. 41 innings with no runs allowed with three complete game shutouts in a row? Simply amazing.
I find it hilarious. If they hadn't made that trade, the Sox would be like 8 games up on the Yankees right now.Quote:

I'm with this post, only instead of "hilarious," I find it blood-boilingly frustrating. I still think Gagne is going to turn it around and prove to be a late-season asset, but that motherfucker has tested my faith nearly every time he's taken the hill. Since pulling a Red Sox uniform over his bulbous gut, Gagne has forfeited 10 runs in just 5 and 1/3 innings pitched. Unbelievable.
