I'm at home all day today and tomorrow, but I want to start out the game with a group. I'll go pick up the game in a bit and set up my subscription. I'll set up the guild, and like I said above, I don't have a name in mind but I prefer names that make sense in the game world, unless every name is taken.
Subs are down at the moment and they are working on it. I'm un-installing the demo and beta so I can install the disc copy and upgrade my account.
Yeah I don't really mind what we name it, so I'm going to use my Marksman with TNL, we have what one of every class about? Hopefully we can all get on tonight.
I won't have my disk for a while, ordered it VIA the TNL store yesterday, but I figure having my beta will tide me over until I get it.
Yea that should hold you over till the dvd comes. That was some smart thinking on their part to do that. Last night one of the moderators was talking to everyone as they played and giving info on what all to look for on release day.
Hah cool, yeah I just made my three characters (I was pissed though, I reserved one name, and then later deleted the character to actually make them, and within the 25 seconds of fucking time it took, someone took the name.)
Where is the pre-order code at? They didn't give me anything at the gamestop when I picked it up and all I got is the registration codee. I think there are some promotion codes in some magazines that give you stuff also.
You were supposed to get a giant DVD case with some inserts when you pre-ordered. One of the inserts has the pre-order code.
Hmm I didn't get shit when I pre-ordered just a receipt. I'm getting a German exclusive dye kit at the moment. The German EA site has this promotional code for DLing their .pdf magazine. Seems that if you use this code it also gives you access to the founders deal too.

Has anyone used the dye kit yet? Is it one-time or unlimited use? I've been holding off in case I would waste it on lowbie armor.

After a bit of work I got the wasp dye kit. You gotta have the dvd installed to get it to register. It also added the founder and beta badges to my account haha.
I think dye kits can be used over and over since there seems to be multi ones from promotions and such. They have an area where you can enter promotional codes and pre-order codes. I'm about to play and check out single player and the cinemas and the dye kit.
I just made another character named lullaby, she's a summoner. All the dye kits you have registered show up in your inventory on all characters. My evoker looks like a bug thanks to the wasp kit and the way evokers just look with their equipment...awesome! Dye kits don't latch onto armor, you equip the dye kits in the dye kit slot on the inventory screen.
Also the opening cinema is hot! Hopefully I can get to the 3rd station in a bit.

You have to make one for online. Single player ones can't be transferred over.

They did. The Halloween content was supposed to be suscriber only. Since that mechanism was broken, they tried to open it up to everybody. As we all know, that didn't go so well.

Ok, Marksman DespairD is up and running.
The achievements for leveling in a given amount of time are broken. Since things like that are what I enjoy most about MMOs, I'm fairly pissed. If they fix it but can't award retroactively, I'll have to start over.
The only achievement I noticed so far was one for breaking crates.
There is a massive memory leak problem. I was using about 1,678,000 K of memory just for the game at one point. And that wasn't the only time memory usage was ridiculously high.
Still, all this is getting sorted out, so come on and play. I'll probably be on most nights for a while. Just make sure you find the little arrow that opens the chat window. Talk about unintuitive!

Cool I'm gonna check some achievements and play after I eat my lunch. I should be on later tonight too since I don't have to get up in the middle of night for work. I'm gonna start putting away some money for our guild fund also.
Getting the 10k will be easy so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Also I got on later and hit level 8 so I think I should still be within reason of you guys (Also finished off all the quests in Covent Garden)
I got my DespairD to level 6.5. First Hell mission was fun and I ended up with lucky Helm and Chest lol. I like how you can carry 3 sets of weapons at the same time, really helps with backspace management.
I still afraid to assign some of the skills though, cause unlike wow there is no respecs :( unless i am wrong ) and I need to read up on the skills and possible better builds more.
And yeah, memory leaks are bitch. My game crashed twice on memory issues last night.
Here's the build I'm going for:
Ricochet and Reflected shot, paired with high crit from the level 10 skill, with the napalm strikes etc.
At the same time I plan to use a rocket launcher or some form of spread fire weapon, basically so I go around killing hordes of shit at a time.
The other viable spec is to go for the sniper rifle build, high crit, sniper stance, maybe the grenades and go with that.
But yeah I'm paranoid about my build too, though I think I'll be happy with it.
I got blue rifle and missile launcher (with nice fire aoe), both doing quite good damage, especially combined with grenades. Missile rate of fire bit slow for my liking.
I was looking at Napalm Strike, seems to be a good skill to get.
Too bad Sniper Stance uses up mana and easily broken by slight move, but the accuracy is nice.
I tried the Stealth move in demo, but not sure if it will be very usefull, but neat nevertheless.
I picked it up with one point, at least to save ones ass temporarily, not sure about putting in any more points or going for the follow up move.
Yeah rockets are slow, but add in Ricochet with certain guns and they are a blast. Get your crit, fire another load of rockets, and watch the walls and enemies you didn't hit light up on fire. In crowded hallways you could clear out a huge amount of enemies.
Sniper stance is also nice for with a good sniper rifle, you'll be one shotting some tough enemies, I'll find a good sniper rifle as my second one, put one point into sniper stance, and if say there's a room full of tiny shits with one pain in the ass guy, take him out in a shot or two and just wreck the little shits with the rocket.

I was gonna do some of them picadilly missions at the 3rd station. Well I go into picadilly approach and BAM I'm in a hell rift. This hell rift is filled to the brim with sniper imps and various other imps. I clean that place out and there is another rift that goes to "ancient blood". I go in there and its some huge palace full of zombies and such. I clean that place out and find some nice drops in chest and rare zombies. Then thats pretty much it. I go back and forth a few times and lvl up trying to figure out whats going on. I just now figured out a hell rift opened RIGHT IN FRONT of the picadilly approach gate and soon as I pop out I go in the rift. I just have to move a bit to dodge it so I can stay in picadilly. This happened to yall?

I wonder if you get random hellgates, cause I just did the same mission with nick and it didn't have the hellgate that I got. The mission I did had 1 random hellgate on the first stage and the real mission hellgate on the second stage "the circus" kinda weird. Oh well.
I wish they would fix subscribbing, cause I need the extra space for storage heh.

YAY I'm off Sunday so I'll actually get to stay on later at night. I had a nice marathon Friday and got to 11 or 12.
Nick and I played for a bit and I was seeing a bunch of new creatures I've not seen yet. We seemed to come up with a good plan for certain stages. Nick would draw all the enemies to him and I'd just hose his area down with random spells to clean things up. I got some nice cabalist weapons that beef up my spells so they do more dammage and larger area.
Also anyone know what the patch last night did? I've still not played single player, but they updated it and a small update for online. It just seemed to run alot better after the patch. (edit) They just added patch 0 to single player. I dunno what they added to online.
p.s. I need a zombot ticker!
I was telling Thief that you should be able to call multiple pets. Cocomoko + Mantawraith + Zombot + Engineer Drones = The Petting Zoo from Hell.
I've got my level 10 engineer Gakhilesh up and going. I'll probably play a bit today, but I'm sure most people here are way past my level.
Good god that big battle was crazy. Yoshi, me and nick were fighting out asses off awhile ago. Too bad I froze twice at the end.
Also my hat goes off to whoever gets the lvl 20 in 14 hour achievement.
I'm gonna get a headset tomorrow to make playing much easier. I need to setup my hot keys better too. Yoshi had quit the bad ass setup with his engineer.
I need to add despair and schlep to my buddylist.

Not sure about any server problems, but the memory leak is starting to annoy me.
Well there are only 2 servers for the US. I'm not sure how many for Europe. Back in beta you had EVERYONE crammed in one server to test things. It's not so crowded now that everyone is spilt into two servers and the EU people are probably doing beta or playing on their own server.

World Events
UI
- The All Hallows’ Eve event has ended. Halloween item drops and quests are no longer available, although all the goodies still work. If you have Candy, All Hallows Visage, or Zombot – they are yours! NOTE: If you have the plans and parts to construct a Zombot but have not yet done so, the recipe is still active.
Graphics
- Many new UI sounds for better feedback.
- Elite Mode button now lights up only when a player has completed the main storyline.
- Added a queuing system to the request dialog to better handle concurrent party, duel, trade, and guild requests from other players.
- New Account Information in the Options menu.
- Character’s level now properly displays after they join a guild
- Party members are now always displayed in the Party UI regardless of how far apart they are, as long as the characters are in the same area / level.
- New error message/sound when a character attempts to purchase an item without enough gold or room in their inventory.

- Overall memory usage improved, especially in Stations. This increases client stability, reducing “memory exhausted” crash issues.

I finally got a headset and installed skype. I added you to my skype list nick. I'll be on at my usual early time before everyone else heh. Yesterday I sat down and tweeked my toolbars and made me 3 different fighting sets. Now I'm more efficient and fight better. I hit lvl 14 last night and did the big battle by my lonesome.
I also noticed that sometimes a stage will have a hidden part. One mission allowed me to go from the city streets down into the sewers. I guess thats another random like the bonus hellgates.

I'm on my way to the 5th(I think) station. I just hit lvl 16 also. There are some nice breaks from the norm around where I'm at. One being a mini game where you command a group of troups thru the city. Then the techsmith 416 quest is something else in itself, be prepared for a big boss battle.
Also I subscribbed this morning, so far I'm using the extra space in my locker. I got some pretty damn good drops on the techsmith stage and I'm holding some good stuff for some cabalists if anyone needs some stuff.
I've been thinking about picking this up. I had a pretty good time as a summoner in the beta. Only thing is that I have to run everything at low settings. I know that they fixed some memory issues. Just wondering if anyone noticed a difference with the patch?
I run the game in the low to medium settings since I got a barely passable graphic card. It seems to run a bit smoother than beta. Also most of the weird flying animations for some of the jumping enemies are gone. Some of the effects still slow me down like fog/mist. I've read people complaining about fire, but that doesn't seem to bother my comp as much anymore.
Awesome. I think I'll pick up a copy tonight.
I'm having a hell of a time pulling the trigger on the founder's club. I keep of other things that seem like better uses of $150. I think I need to find a list of exactly what it gets me.

Despair, just above and to the left of your health meter is a little arrow that opens the chat window. Hold down the Alt key, then click on it. Using ` is supposed to work, too.

Thanks to Rtificial for helping me to get to Station 3, for some nice upgrades. Loving new Sniper rifle. I had an epic sniper battle going in the huge processing room against army of imp snipers and spitters, that was truly something.
Hit level 10.5 as well. Gave up on my all Luck gear in favor of more stat and armor ones, cause enemies starting to hurt :p
No prob, glad I could help. I was having the same decision to make too. High luck or good stats, I eventually went with good stats. Now I'm having to choose between a lil step back in stat defense for lots of buffs on armor. I keep finding armor with like 3-5 different buffs but cuts back on my base defense.
I was playing really early this morning after I dropped my car off at the shop, then they took the server down for a new Guy Fawkes patch update. The site says something about an event, guess I'll see what thats about later today. I'm at the station where theme event quests are, but I've yet to do any. One thing about this game, there is a load of things to do. Between doing the loads of side quests, the main quest of just helping others I keep pretty busy. I've yet to try pvp, some sorta raid stages(?) and once the theme events start happening I bet it could get even crazier.
What class do we not have at all? I was leaning towards redoing my evoker from Beta, but if we have a strong one I'd rather do something else.
I'm an evoker. Nick is a defenseman/swordsman(forgot which). Despair is a gunman. Yoshi is a mechanic. Thief is a gunman too I belive. The others I've not seen yet. Someone said something about being a summoner.
If you wanna go the evoker route, I got some evoker/summoner stuff you could find handy.
How many people can play in the same instance? I'd like to play with you guys if you've got the room.
