The only reason why he took that pose is because he needs to remain pro-gun and honestly he said it himself, if you want to blame games and ban all games, the next time it happens you'll have nothing to blame but guns again and you'll have to ban all guns.
He's probably just trying to set himself against Hilary and Lieberman.
I'm waiting for literature to be blamed. I've read some seriously fucked up imagery in books; some of it far more grotesque than what is portrayed in video games. But I guess most people are too lazy to read, so it all goes unchecked.

This guy was fucked from the get-go. He's had numerous documented instances where he wrote about killing people and stalking girls at VT. I blame the parents for not taking harder look at their son and trying to give him the emotional support or medical (psychiatric) help he obviously needed.
Do video games desensitize people from violence, Yes - but does it make them voilent - I don't think so.
