Right. Once again, please point out where I said Berg is telling people not to wear condoms. Because that sentence you bolded doesn't say that.

I understand where Berg is coming from- condoms suck (they do), the chances of getting AIDS from unprotected hedrosexual sex is slim, there are more common dieases worth bagging up over, etc.

All I'm saying it that, low chances of getting it or not, I place the chance of getting AIDS in the same category as getting the herps, or anything else. Actually, despite the chances of getting AIDS being far lower, the fact that it's usually fatal places it above those curable or non-fatal dieases.

Berg is just showing a somewhat cavalier attitude towards AIDS- yeah, the chances of getting it are real low, but I'm sure those hard-luck cases that got it thought the same thing as well. And yeah, with proper treatment you might live a long, long time, but who wants to live feeling like they're under the gun every day? For each guy or gal that lives for ages with HIV, there are people who get full-blown AIDS in mere years and die horrible deaths.

Low chances or not, unless I'm in a comitted relationship with someone I know is clean (and I am), I'm bagging that shit up no matter what. If Berg wants to make smart-ass comments about people who feel that way about AIDS, whatever. I'm not here to debate him.

I never agrued that fact (and you're right, it is a fact). The actual infection rate of unprotected penile-vaginal intercourse is about 10 out of 10,000. All I'm saying is that I don't want to be lucky Mr. 1-10.
