Bluetooth headset + Vista = FAIL!
I recently picked up the Logitech® Cordless Desktop® MX™ 5000 Laser And got the software up and running fine on Vista. The mouse and keyboard work just like they are supposed to. However, when I tried to sync up my bluetooth headset yesterday, it would sync up, but then tell me I needed to install the drivers for it.
The headset doesn't work with the PS3, so I may be picking up a different brand today, but the problem wasn't with the headset, but rather with the Logitech software and Vista. Apparently, the logitech software usually has Widcomm stack on it, but is not compatible with Vista at the moment. By default, it uses the basic windows stack which apparently is nice with BT headsets. I've scoured the net for widcomm drivers and the only one I cam across was way to shady for me to even consider installing.
I'm thinking about just giving up on using BT headset for my PC and just going with the xbox 360 wireless reciever and using the wireless headset I already have, but it would have been nice to just be able to use a BT headset for both the PS3 and PC. Anyone know of an easy fix or solution or perhaps some simple software I need to install?
