A movie this badass needs its own thread. I'm watching it right now but it's on AMC, so it's heavily edited. If I could find a DVD version that wasn't full screen, it'd be mine already. Definitely one of Arnie's best films.
So yeah, Commando rocks. Anyone ever take a full body count in this one? I heard it was somewhere around 55.

LOL, I kept laughing at all the errors and convenient situations it had.
My favorite is when Matrix and Cindy are chasing chasing Sully, and he rams a light pole head-on, with no seatbelt or anything. He and Cindy then get out, completely unscathed.
Or when he detonates the charges around the barraks of Arius' men. You can tell so clearly that the soldiers standing in front of the explosion are mock ups.

I thought they announced a blu-ray release, but I can't find any solid info. If any movie deserves a hi-def treatment, it truly is Commando.
My friends and I got in a pretty heated debate over who would win in a fight, John Matrix or John Rambo? The answer of course is obvious, but an entertaining duel it would be none the less.
I bought the DVD to replace my old VHS after the original thread.

A scene they were supposed to put in involved the scene in the shed, after Matrix cuts the soldier's arm off, he was originally supposed to hit the victim with it and tell him to shut up. This scene was edited out as being too macabre.
That game would have rocked if you could have used Arnie. They could have done like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and sprinkled digitized one-liners from him all through it.
The Commando game does not have the level of violence necessary to be an appropriate game based off the movie.
When I first saw the game in the arcade, when I was a wee boy. I thought it was based off the movie. I was saddened when it was not. But its still one of my favorite games.

I just saw The Condemned the other night, which was WWE Films' attempt to turn Stone Cold Steve Austin into the next Arnold. It failed miserably.
Was it at least fun bad as The Marine?
Never saw The Marine, but The Condemned was okay. It started off well, but kinda lost steam halfway through. Stone Cold was decent but not outstanding. At least he didn't give anyone the Stunner.

Commando pisses over most action movies these days. Will we ever see a movie like this again? A serious action movie that is not really serious... if that sounds right.
