Ghost Squad (Finally!)

HELL YES. :D I dunno what took so long, but here is Ghost Squad on a console. You use the Wii remote to defuse the time bombs, disarm landmines, etc.

Thanks Sega. You finally made me want the Wii. Now we need a 3rd party to release a big green gun with internal recoil like the one on the arcade unit. I doubt it'll be much longer before Virtua Cop 3 is announced.

Too bad a lot of GS arcade cabs lack the card readers, but at least this console version should fix that problem and enable you to play Mission Levels 5-16.

It looks underwhelming. Hopefully it'll be fun and control well.

That would kind of defeat the purpose of porting the game to a console with a pointing device. If they were planning on having light gun support, Sega probably would have made this a 360 game.

I'd love to see a two-pack on Wii of Gunblade NY and LA Machineguns. And as long as I'm working on wishful thinking, Jambo Safari too.

I wish the VC had a better selection of light-gun games. They're the only ones I can't properly emulate on my computer.

There are no ghosts in this game. Disappointing. :(

Perfect port of the first HotD pls. I've been wanting that forever. I have the Saturn one but it's not the same.

It may look a little dated (it's a Chihiro game rather than Lindbergh, which suits it well for the Wii's graphic power), but I'd say the fun is surely there. I'm not sure if you can get a good rate of fire with the original Wiimote trigger, so I'd say a Wii gun will likely happen.

That would be a DAY ONE purchase for sure. LA Machineguns is sooo good.

Because this is a Wiimote and not a gun, it'll be stupid. You won't aim at the screen, you'll just aim RELATIVE TO the screen. Huge difference. I suppose if it has some insane calibration setup (what's the exact dimensions of your TV, put the wiimote on a surface exactly in the center 8 feet away, etc)...but still. Dumb. The arcade game is fun though.

Or it will just show your cursor on the screen and you won't have to calibrate anything. That's what I'm assuming, and why I doubt a lightgun would be released for it.

No, I agree with you. I am sure that is how it will work. And that's why it will suck. It's closer to playing with a controller than with a gun. You aren't aiming at anything.
