Just got placed into gold from platinum, I feel a lot more comfortable now. It's kinda cool that it reevaluates you after a certain amount of time.
I think I lost all my placement matches and got Bronze. They were all Zerg, except for the one time I picked Protoss and got matched against another Protoss. I really have no clue how to counter speedling rushes (and 90% of the other shit Zerg throws at you) as Terran.
I guess I'll start doubling up on Barracks very early and get more marines ready, while blocking the ramp.
To be honest. All of your matches in the Bronze/Shit leagues are going to be Protoss rushing Zealots or Zerg rushing speedlings, so it's good that the AI gets you used to that.Quote:

You definitely won't be able to get back into the practice league but it might be possible to start Novice maps somehow. I haven't tried.
It's probably not a good idea to play practice games in the first place, though. The more you play, the harder it will be to get used to the gamespeed difference, not to mention how different the maps play without all of the barriers.
I agree that the practice maps are pretty whack.
I remember the first time I tried to send an SCV to scout and he kept coming back and I was all WTF? Little did I know he was running into the newb boulders in front of my base.
