It was a white neighborhood, duh!

The cop was probably chasing the dude. Also I have seen flaming wrecks on the highway before.

The best thing was the SUV that drove right past it through the tool booth like nothing happened.

But cops traditionally hang out at toll booths. I know I always see em' parked nearby. He was probably already there...

Or like was mentioned above, the cop could have been chasing him; hence his high speed in the first place.

That was most definitely a high-speed chase.

Also, that wasn't the driver flying out of the car. It was the toll booth attendant. That driver was probably wearing their seatbelt or got plastered all over the interior of the car, but it doesn't look like he made it out.

I have driven by two exploding cars in my life.

Dave was in the car for one of em.
