Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra

From the creators of Arcade Advanced comes Castlevania & Contra, a compilation of two of five of Konami's classics for your PC. Actually, nothing concrete has been shown, except a webpage and a mention in one of KCE Hawaii's press release. The fact that the website has a "Super C" logo instead of "Super Contra" means that the Contra games in the compilation are the 8-bit ones and not the Arcade originals. It would be a waste if the games are straight adaptions of their NES counterparts. They better include lots of extras such as artwork, wallpapers, history, newly-translated manuals and enhanced A&V. Heck, maybe they could include the extra features from the Japanese versions, such as the cinema scenes in Contra and the save feature in the first two Castlevanias.

Wow, even if it is just PC, Castlevania and Contra in one package? That's awesome, and I don't have Castlevania 1 or 3 yet. Hopefully they'll doll 'em up nice.

Aw shit, here we go...

I'd honestly rather pay cash. It encourages more Castlevania and Contra and those games are worth it (as I said, don't have Castlevania 1 or 3).

Calling it a "collector's series," they better put some bonuses in it, though.

I happen to have the ROMs of all three of the NES Castlevanias and both Contra games on NESticle, although I only own Super C and Simon's Quest. Hopefully, KCEH will do more than simply port the games.

Incidentally, I was trying to track down a copy of the Famicom version of Contra a few days ago.
