anyone know the answer to my question?
Beating Apprentice in general is a pain in the ass. My patience failed yesterday.
Hit hard, fast, and constantly. I've whipped him using Yoda and Lizardman by not giving him a chance to start using the force explosion powers.
Lucasarts: "Hey, we've got this Force Unleashed game coming out soon, so if you don't mind, could you make him extremely overpowered for the sake of publicity?"
Namco: " Sure. Hey, we've got a bunch more character slots open. We can put the entire Modal Nodes band in if you want."
He's not overpowered in VS if you know how to fight him, and he's not hard in arcade mode if you know how to either run and throw or hit him with long range.
Also found an easy way to make some money and work towards the critical finish, but I've forgotten the characters name all of a sudden, Sueng Mina's brother. Anyways his forward B + K x 2 = Guard break, keep using it in story mode and you'll get critical finishes most the time unless the AI decides now to block because they sure as hell didn't dodge it much. In about 15 minutes = 16k gold
Are you guys serious about the Apprentice? Im about as big of a button mashing noob as you can get - Ive put 30 minutes of time into the entire
Soul Calibur series till now - and I dont find him that hard. 3 re-tries tops and half the time in one try. He aint no SNK final boss by any means.
I could spend hours in that create-a-character mode. Most games I played that had custom modes werent very indepth. Im surprised by all of the options. Great fun. I hope theres more backgrounds to unlock other than the first set you get. I need my fighting games to have a ton of BGs.
BTW, anyone worried about hoarding money, there's an AI exploit on floor 60 of ToLS that gets you 12500g every minute or so.
Getting to 60 can be tricky though. I recommend Astaroth.
Also, I've gotten all sorts of rings, gems, and other special equipment, but none of it seems to make my hands and weapon glow. I've seen people online with that effect, and Korly (who decided to withhold the information), but I'm not sure what causes it.
I'm extremely horrified to hear create-a-character is this popular.
