Watch out, those muscles just fucking sneak up on you.
The Rock woke up one day with biceps bigger than my head.
Despite the fact that there's no way you have to worry about ever getting as swoll as The Rock, I understand what you mean. 15 LBS of additional muscle at your height should be no problem at all. And it doesn't sound like you want to look all cut up, so other than increasing your caloric intake I wouldn't say that you need to do anything different with your diet. Assuming that you eat okay to begin with.
I suggest focusing on your legs and core. Do that and the rest will follow. I start every workout with squats, because it'll release the most testosterone quickly and give you more energy for the rest of your routine. As far as your upper body, you can go light with more reps or heavy with less, but either way you're going to want to hit the weights hard and push yourself to failure. Probably go light in the beginning so that you don't hurt yourself. That'll destroy those inadequate muscles of yours, and if you make sure to pound a protein shake within 30 mins of finishing your workout (or just drink a glass of milk) then they'll rebuild and improve and you'll be on your way.
Don't expect a major improvement overnight. Without using supplements it should take you at least a few months to get where you want to be. Skip doing cardio or it'll take you longer. Anyway, good luck!
If you want to look like the Rock you work out 6 days a week, hour or so in the morning on one muscle group, then an hour in the evening (think chest/back) You also have to inject andosterone, dinabol, HGH and insulin every day. Also eat 8000 calories. Probably going to want to be on clenbuterol for the last half of your cycle to help you stay cut up.
No one accidentally gets too big. No one ever has. No one ever will.
I think he was just elaborating on what his target physique is, before someone said, "That depends. Do you want big muscles or just a fit look?"
I'm transitioning to more of a fit look just by cutting out most sugar, cutting back on carbs, and working out with moderate weights about an hour a day. I agree with Gondolin, but I'd add that if you aren't looking to get big, you can get a lot done with some adjustable dumbbells, a pull-up bar, and some time set aside at home.
Frustration: starting a workout plan and then getting sick as hell and losing motivation.
Lift heavy ass weights err-day.
I can't anymore, and it makes me want to jump in the lake. I have to lift lady weights.
Shake weights atleast hopefully.
Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but don't nobody want to lift that heavy-ass weight!
