Did I mention I don't swim in pools?
Prove it?
Bah. With all the chemicals they put in there, I wouldn't much worry about it. Especially considering you are rolling around with sweaty men.
I did today:
Flat Barbell Bench Press 2 x 8
Dumbbell decline fly 2 x 8
Dips : 2 x 8
Wide grip Chin ups : 2 x 6
Deadlifts : 2 x 8
Barbell Rows : 2 x 8
Shrugs : 1 x 10
Incline Pushups using pushup handles 4 x 8
Decline weighted crunches 4 x 10
Then tonight I do brazilian jiujitsu with the gi for about 2 hours.
Yesterday I did:
Warm-up (5 minutes stationary bike, 5 minutes stretching)
Bench Press: 3 sets 6/5/3
Incline Dumbbell Press: 3 sets 6/5/3
Incline Dumbbell Flys: 2 sets 6/5
Pec Deck: 2 sets 6/5 (making sure I hold for 1-2 seconds at the peak)
Then 20 minutes on the stationary bike.
Tomorrow- Back and Biceps, Friday- Shoulders, Saturday- Legs.
I dislocated a rib. I didn't even know that was possible. Tomorrow I'm going to play Bangaioh. Maybe some Mario Kart 64. I also plan to feel sorry for myself.
you might be able to suck your own penis
hmm, yesterday:
Pull-ups (3 sets: 1 regular, narrow, wide)
Lat pull 3x12 down to 7
Chin ups 3x15
Leaning one-arm DB row 3X15
Some weird overhead diamond rope cable row 3x15
Leg raises on dip bars 2x20
Weighted crunches 2x20
Jog 30 min
I think I might do two weeks high and two weeks low reps (I change routine every 4 weeks)...today is no weight, only 45 min cardio
I did another HIIT run last night for 30 minutes. (8 minute warm-up, 5 minute walk-off). I feel really good the rest of the night. When I'm done though I feel like a walking zombie. The sweating, the panting, the vomiting. But once the internal bleeding stops and the blood stops rushing from my anus I feel like a million bucks. Really awesome.
This morning was shoulders and I did:
(as many reps until exhaustion)
4 sets behind the neck barbell military presses
3 sets front barbell military presses
3 sets barbell (preacher) upright rows
3 sets behind the back barbell shrugs
Then I just got out of class and the last 15 minutes were open roll:
0/3 on triangle attempts* (all were pathetic attempts)
1/1 on gogoplata attempts (for some reason I can do this)
0/1 on armbar attempts (pathetic, almost kicked dude in the face)
0/1 on americana attempts (pathetic)
3/3 on guillotine attempts (dude kept leaving himself open, I felt cheap)
* - one of the failed triangles got me caught in a leglock and yes, I tapped. I also went into a successful gogoplata after one other failed triangle attempt.
Did Back and Biceps yesterday.
Warm-up (5 minutes stationary bike, 5 minutes stretching)
Front Pulldowns: 4 sets 6/5/4/4
Narrow-grip T-Bar rows: 3 sets 5/5/4
Wide-grip Barbell row: 2 sets 6/5
Incline Dumbbell Curls: 4 sets 6/5/4/3
EZ-bar curls: 3 sets 6/5/5
Then 20 minutes on the stationary bike. I've noticed that since I bumped my cardio up to 20 minutes per session, I'm losing weight hella fast. Up until now I was dicking around with less time and not really seeing good results, but as long as it's at least 20 minutes I get noticable differences from dat-to-day. My waistline is really starting to tighten up nicely now.
Tomorrow- Shoulders, Saturday- Legs.
When I lift I just never feel like I do enough.
It's like when I'm finished up five minutes later I feel fine and it seems like I could do another full routine.
I'm pretty close to maxing out when I hit my 8th rep (depending on the exercise) but I still feel good to go when I'm done.
That's why I've been adding my extra four sets of weight crunches and elevated/handle pushups, because nothing I do ever feels like "enough".
Don't get so hung up on subs homey.
They'll come in time, just focus on getting as much mat time as you can, and worry about absorbing everything.
And only 15 mins of open rolling?! You need to kick that up to about an hour minimum!
There were only 15 minutes left in class so we just went open roll. There are separate open roll timeslots that do go a full-hour. Obviously I am too much of a noob to participate in too many of those since I don't know what to do half the time, especially when on top. I'm better on my back. In full guard, I mean.
That's alright, I always stress to everyone to work on developing a good guard first.
If you have a good guard, you don't have to worry about trying any other positions, because you can always fall back on your guard.
And who cares if you know what to do or not? The only way you can learn is more mat time, the more you get submitted the faster you will get better.
FYI - I never use closed guard, I'm pretty much 100% open guard.
Depends on what I'm doing at the time because I don't have a spotter.
But on sets of stuff when I don't have to worry about killing myself, by the time I hit my 8th rep my form is pretty much horrible.
Maybe I could irk out another 1 or 2, but I'm pretty close to what weight I should be using I think.
I was always the same way, to be honest. I'd be near dead at the end and then 15 minutes later feel like I could do it all again. I think you'll find out, though, that you really can't. But it's not like you're supposed to be completely useless for that long after lifting anyway.
Today:
Smith Squat 3x15 down to 12 after weight increase
Hack Squat 3x15 down to 12 after weight increase
Seated leg curl 3x20 down to 12 after weight increase
Double leg extension + alternate leg extension (keeping one up at all times) 3x10+5/5 -- this will kill you after you do the first 10 with both legs simulatenously
Walking Lunge 3x15/15 down to 12/12
Calf Raise 3x15 down to 13
30 minutes interval on the stationary bike
I did 15 minutes of eliptical (spelling) and a whole bunch of reps on various weight machines (no idea what they are called). I am tired as shit.
What he said. Gooch I notice you're keeping score. You also mentioned that you like guard which is great especially in the beginning. So maybe you should keep score for things like sweeps and passes. There is so much more to jiu jitsu than just kill or be killed. In fact at the end of the day the submissions are really the least of it.
So I'm finally back to full speed at the physical therapist's. And I sparred once with my boy Yuki. The elbow is still hecka tender though so I'm taking it pretty easy. I think I'll be back to the boathouse next Friday.
I'd love to keep score for sweeps and passes. Once I learn how to do those intentionally, I will definitely keep track. The guy I was rolling against was more experienced than me but still a noob, and I'm the nerdy type to actually watch film when I get back home, so I tried some new things on him. Tomorrow I'll roll against another student (dual private lesson) who is clearly better than me but I managed to avoid being tapped last week against him until the last minutes when I just gassed, gave up my back and got caught in a RNC, but my "wrestling" allowed me to stay alive and maintain side control for most of the session (about 30 minutes of open roll), though I didn't really know what to do from that advantageous position. All I could think about was punching the guy, but obviously I can't do that.
I was actually able to pull dude into my guard like Goran Relic did against Gouveia, so I was happy about that. And I avoided getting slammed during one triangle attempt by hooking his leg, but if I had any skills, I would have turned it into an armbar from there.
Just got out of Muay Thai and everytime I get a little cocky about my conditioning, they turn it up a notch and I realize I'm more around a 6 on a scale of 10 in terms of cardio and that there is another level of intensity that I haven't consistenly been exposed to.
Dude. Are people seriously allowed to just be slammin their way out of into really triangles?
I don't roll against people who really know what they're doing, though they know more than me. All I know is that I tried a triangle, felt him begin to lift me, so I thought it would be in my best interests to hook his leg.
Alright I'm not trying to harsh your toke or anything. It just sounded like slamming to get out of submissions might be par for the course. If so I would have had criticisms.
And it is my humble opinion that if you're getting decent instruction, watching film on TV and the internet does far more harm than good at the newbie stage. You can't skip ahead or cut corners. No magic bullets and yada yada. Repetition on the mat is the only way to own a technique.
Always hook that fuckers leg, if you get it deep enough and you are hipped out to the side... like we always are when we are finishing our triangles... you will choke his stupid ass even worse when he tries to pick you up.
Even if the person is new, an instructor should only see the slam attempt one time before putting the kabosh on it.
Also a funny story about my friends gym...
Big ole steroid looking bouncer guy comes in, 250 pounds atleast, all tatted up, beanie wearing stereotype.
Guy seems very nice, relaxed, chilled out. Is good with drilling technique with a few partners, is fine when we do a pass the guard drill, obviously has worked out before with some wrestling or submission wrestling.
Anyway, he was chilled out the entire time and we let him roll a couple of matches. He is still fine.
So he gets paired up with one of the blue belts at my friends gym. 105 pound woman, super slick skills, but tiny obviously.
About a minute into the match she gets stereotype in a triangle and he explodes out of it and slams the crap out of her. You could tell he was pissed, but also satisfied with himself for not tapping to a girl.
The instructor sees it. He calmly walks over to my friend and says "you roll with him next... (pointing at beefcake) I want you to beat the shit out of him".
So my friend who oddly enough weighs 145ish pounds just like me totally and utterly annihilates this guy. Never really hurting him, but submitting him about fifty times in five minutes.
As the round went out Dbol was getting angrier and angrier, but seeing as he was 100% unable to do anything against a person who was half his size said nothing. After the match was over he got up and left the mat without saying a word.
He was never heard from again.
And that's my friends story about getting slammed in triangles. :)
Does your friend paint his nails too?
Also: This rib shit is not any better. I am going crazy not being able to do anything at all.
Loved the story about your...friend, Kid.
There's a girl at my place that I've got a good 80 pounds on but would tap me in a kajillasecond. Glad my instructor doesn't make a noob like me roll with her (she's no expert but obviously has been doing BJJ for a while). The ego...it dies hard.
I ate pretty shitty this weekend due to my Pearl Jam weekend roadtrip. Ran this morning and I'll get back to weights on Wednesday. Didn't gain any weight though.
EDIT - arrived to answer
I'm going to try to make it work under my current arrangement just to keep my life simple. I am very content with the quality of instruction I receive, just not the quantity, but I need to be patient and as I learn more, more classes will be made available to me. It's just that joining another gym on top of mine would make more sense financially for what I'm paying. These private lessons are not cheap!
When are you coming up by me to test your skillz? And no, privates are not cheap, but a lot of times they are awesome.
Also, going between two gyms is a sticky proposition.
Martial art schools/gyms are weird. They are somewhere between a normal gym, like Ballys, and a family.
In a normal business relationship, if I wasn't happy with my service, I could go someplace else and supplement my training and their wouldn't be any hard feelings. But with martial arts you are in this odd grey area where instructors get angry if you are going someplace else.
I'm just rambling really, ever since I started with kung fu, I've always found the whole thing neat/fascinating.
Yeah, I definitely don't want to show any disrespect and this would have been pushing it, imo.
I'll come up to test my skillz when I actually have some. Right now all I could offer you are a few seconds of lay and pray until you sub me.
The personal trainers at my gym are a fucking joke. I've seen at least 2 or 3 of them making their clients wait in the middle of a workout while they sat there bullshitting on their cells. If I was their customer I'd get my money back and walk the fuck out the door.
Just got done with open roll and I went against a guy who clearly knew what he was doing. He came out of our cage area (I'm too noob to even go close to that area) and wanted to roll so the instructor threw me to the wolves. We went for about half an hour and I lost count of how many times I tapped. I submitted him zero times, not even close, I was completely smothered, suffocated, never experienced something like it. I kept going, though, and wanted to make him work for everything and see if I could at least position myself better. I was completely dominated technically, he was also much stronger than me, but I was kinda proud to even be able to last as long as I did because I had no business rolling with that dude otherwise. It was like pulling the wings from a fly, man.
I admit I have a cheap natural advantage in that I sweat profusely. Numerous people have told me I'm hard to roll with because I'm so slick, I literally leave sweat puddles on the mat. I realize that if this were gi I'd probably be nuked even more than I have been.
I will say that rolling and grappling gets you crazy ripped. I've never been as ripped as I am now, even with the intense cardio training from striking, sparring, etc. I feel like shit right now but great at the same time. I recommend this for anyone looking to shed some weight, get in shape, get ripped, etc. It's hard to half ass your effort in this arena so you'll instictively raise your intensity level to where it needs to be out of fight or flight alone.
That's why treadmills are better than bikes and shit like that. The only way to be lazy is to literally turn down the fucking speed or incline. Otherwise you have to chew through that shit.
I sweat a normal amount when I wake up. But one thing everyone always notices about me is that I do not sweat much, if at all, in hot temperatures. My skin is always bone dry.
Thanks for the update on your sweat patterns, fellas.
Plus plenty of ballsacks in your face.
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/a...1&d=1215114449
I KNEW you'd say that.
If it's any consolation after you get good it's you putting your ballsack in other guys faces.
fag.
Hey Dyne. I'm gonna put my balls in your face someday soon!
Tag added.
Did some arm workouts and another HIIT run today. Those things still fucking kill me after two weeks of doing them. Though I missed my weekend one due to a road trip, and it seemed way fucking harder this time around than before. I gained 3 pounds on my road trip but I lost it all. I drank some soda and I guess that's what bloated me up a lot. I also had a 16 oz steak all to myself too, so that can't help. I'm back to 182 now.
I think you're a little backward here bro. Many people like to call Marcelo Garcia the best ever in no gi grappling. Watch this video all the way through to hear his opinions on training with and without the gi:
And guess what. All the jiu jitsu guys (you know the ones that pretty much sweep Abu Dhabi from top to bottom every single year) say the exact same thing. You won't find a Brazilian Abu Dhabi champ that trains more than once in awhile without the gi.
Also, the whole instant competitive thing doesn't make much sense for a noob. Isn't there one person there that will roll with you to facilitate YOUR learning instead of pumping their own ego? Or are you just not telling us about that part?
Also here's a pic of me working 30 kilo clotheslines on the speedpulley. I take the biggest step forward I can muster, pulling the weight with my head. Then I jave to stand still while maintaining good cervical posture and bust a clothesline move like Road Warrior Animal. Then I keep my good posture and step back again. My neck is getting pretty tough.
http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/5...dpulleybf3.jpg
Great vid. My only point was that the gi would soak up my sweat, thus taking away the cheap natural advantage I seem to have and leaving me further exposed.
I'm not sure why I was pitted against that guy. He knew what he was doing, and he is 200lbs vs. my 170. One thing I've learned is that teaching style varies from instructor to instructor. An instructor like D is awesome, I love his classes, this past week he even sat by me and this other guy and walked me through the moves personally, calling me "bro", very encouraging, patient, and all that shit, more time than I deserved, made me feel like a million bucks. Some other BJJ instructors seem to be more on the tough love style of teaching. There's this one instructor in particular, and I've wondered if it's to see if I'm a joker, if I'm serious enough, if I'm tough enough, or maybe just the fact that I haven't yet earned his respect as student. Whatever the case, I just keep my mouth shut and try to learn and while some things are questionable, I don't know enough to question anyone at this point.Quote:

I have a swollen elbow, by the way. This same tough love instructor, during a group open roll, got me in a really good armbar. He even said "Dude, you gotta tap" but my problem is that he kicked me on the bridge of the nose during the early stage of the armbar and I temporarily blacked out, just for a second or two (that shit hurt) and next thing I know I'm in an armbar, I hear three pops then I tap, just happened so fast. My arm was limp for the rest of the class but I made it through the remaining 30 minuts, but man, it was really fucked for the last two days. Thankfully I have most of my range back today though the swelling is still there. No weightlifting for me for a few days, that's for sure.
is it normal for guys to take open rolling serious enough to pop another persons joint?
No. At least not with a nub. It's one thing if a somebody who has been doing it for years gets into a hard roll with someone else who has been doing it for years and shit gets a little outta hand, or if a nub gets a lucky armbar on a nother nub and neither really knows what's happening. But for an experienced dude to just pop a newbie's shit without thinking twice and then say "Dude, YOU have to tap"? I won't pull any punches, that shit is weak. Hecka fucking weak.
How do you suppose this is any kind of "advantage" when it comes to learning jiu jitsu? Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira started in the gi.
Why is it always "against"? Aren't y'all on the same team? Shouldn't teammates roll with each other? It's not weak to tell a guy that you don't know a whole lot and would appreciate a technical roll in which you might have the opportunity to learn something besides how to tap more efficiently.
This dude is what an instructor is supposed to be. That other dude can suck it. You shouldn't have to earn anybody's respect within the first month. That shit is wrong.
Gooch I am sorry if it seems like I am constantly busting your balls. But from my perspective certain goings on at this school are pushing your head in what I consider to be the wrong direction. I'm trying to provide a different perspective and I genuinely hope I'm not coming off all hoity toity or too cool for school or whatever. You're a good guy and I'd like to see you build the BJJ as quickly and painlessly as possible.
PS: Everybody please peep my RADICAL NEW THREAD when you get some free time.
What's odd to me is that these guys are killing themselves learning to fight in a specific style when most of them will never need to use it in real life, ever. Honestly, I bet I can count the number of TNLers overall that have actually gotten in an honest-to-goodness fistfight on one hand and have fingers left over. In the fights I've been in (it's been a while, but I've had a few in my time), I've found that a nice little repertoire of simple yet very dirty moves can usually win the day.
I'm not knocking MMA training at all- if you're doing it because you love it and it's how you like to keep in shape, that's awesome. But if you're going to the point that you're risking serious or permanent injury, getting cauliflower ears, etc, and you're not considering even trying to go pro or compete on some organized level, I start wondering what the point is.
Guys like Kid and Pa seem very passionate about training hard and constantly improving their skills. I'm just wondering if they ever plan on taking it somewhere. I mean, why do you do it to the degree you do?
it makes them sexual tyrannosaurus.
to be fair, you seem to take weightlifting seriously, yet don't compete. the risk of getting injured lifting heavy weight is there more than some asshole popping joints simply because he's an asshole. what happened to Gooch shouldn't happen. seems like his trainer needs taken down a few pegs.
if anybody is training to get into fights, they're doing it for the wrong reasons. Pa has said time and time again it's more of a lifestyle thing for him.
Hmm...all good points, Dyne.
Pa is also an instructor iirc.
Well, the fundamental reason I do it is because it makes me happy.
The calmness of mind, health of body (despite injuries), and the trials of learning something new nearly every class are what keeps bringing me back.
I also compete regularly and I'll get around to fighting a few times one of these days too.
In addition I teach at two different schools and give private lessons, so the extra moneys doesn't hurt.
My ultimate goal, I'd almost say "in life", is to open up my own little school someplace. So a few years down the road when I get my black belt that is something to look forward too also.
It has never been about fighting for me. A can of mace, stay out of high danger areas/situations, and some running shoes are the best self defense tactics I could teach someone.
You could learn those three things in an afternoon, I've been doing this for years. :)
I'm not involved in any MMA training. I train, compete in and teach Brazilian jiu jitsu. I do it because it's fun. Which is the same reason I spent 13 or so years skateboarding, an equally injurious sport. What would be your idea of "taking it somewhere"? I've already come miles and plan to keep on going.
I've been in 5 real world fights. 2 in high school and 3 outside and I haven't won them all. From my experience BJJ would probably help you to some degree but every fight is a crapshoot. You never know when a lucky bottle will be around to hit someone with or when people will just stop and realize how stupid everything is. I was pushed over a table by a crowd of angry jocks who weren't happy my friend was hitting on one of the girls in their group (she was flirting back). My forehead got scratched up something fierce by the splinters that came off the end moulding. Every fight outside of highschool I've ever been in has been over a girl that someone was hitting on that shouldn't've been. All of them are avoidable and dumb.
They don't need a reason to do BJJ other than it's fun and they like it. It's the same reason I draw and paint and design (which I've turned in to a career). Like Dyne said, Dole, improperly lifting weights provides hazards all the same. Different strokes. I'm not sure people need to compete professionally to really make it worthwhile. You get more out of the journey than a few mild waypoints along the way.
This is my own flawed perspective and more of a generalization. I developed this on my own, no one taught me this, and I'll view it differently going forward.Quote:
Why is it always "against"? Aren't y'all on the same team? Shouldn't teammates roll with each other?
Not at all. I never interpreted your comments as anything but honest feedback, and besides, I'm not the sensitive type. You can call me a dumb asshole and I'd be hard pressed to disagree at times.Quote:
Gooch I am sorry if it seems like I am constantly busting your balls.
Well, I really like training. It's fun, it's fulfilling, it's challenging, it provides a sense of accomplishment, it's good for me, and it keeps me out of trouble. I just like learning and improving. These are the same reasons I still do things like play piano, work on my left hand and post game in basketball, etc. There may be no tangible reward or outlet for application, but I just want to learn and get better, and those are enough rewards for me.Quote:

Well, I’m careful when I lift. I always warm up and use very strict form. The only times I've gotten injured in the past is when I've neglected to do this.
What can be scary about MMA training is that you have to rely on the guy you're sparring with to not overdo it and hurt you, like leaving you in an arm bar too long or something. Of course, the same could be said for having someone spot you at the gym on a heavy lift. But just like in any sport, MMA included, you get to know people at the gym and you figure out who you can trust and who you can't.
I love watching people struggle to lift weights at the gym. It's fucking priceless.
A few months back I had to go to the gym on Saturday to make up for a workout I missed earlier that week. There are two people in the freeweights room: myself and some other guy. I leave to use a machine for shoulder lifts and when I left the guy was on the bench strugglnig to lift the weight he put on the bar. I was gone for like 12 minutes. When I came back, I see this guy still on the bench and blue in the face from the weight of the bar on top of his chest. I go and help the guy out and instead of saying thank you he says, "I had that, asshole. I was just resting my guns."
The next time I see that happen, I'm going to grab a sandwich and watch the poor douche struggle until he dies.
Please tell us you started lol'd when he said "guns".
That was a pretty awesome cover up by him. I'm pretty terrible with the free weights I use. But I'm getting better and I definitely don't overdo it. I also stretch after every set while I wait 45 seconds in between upon Dole's recommendations. My friend Steve doesn't stretch AT ALL and his legs are ridiculously inflexible. He can't even life his calf past a certain point. Not me man, I'll always make sure to stop and stretch. It takes like 30 seconds in between sets after the initial stretch at the beginning (I usually go for about 6 minutes) and that's it.
Set 1:
6 reps of the heaviest I can lift
2min rest
Set 2:
Shoot for 6 reps of the same weight, but usually get 4-5
2min rest
Set 3:
Shoot for 4 reps of the same weight, but usually get 3-4
Basically, the goal is to lift the heaviest weight I can (w/proper form) between 3-6 times. If I can't get it up past 2 reps, it's time to drop down in weight. If I can do 6 reps on the 3rd set, it's time to move up in weight.
Then it's time for a different exercise that works the same muscle, and then one final exercise (same muscle), and then 3 more exercises for a different muscle group, all using the above formula. I'm usually done lifting in 30-40 min.
Anyone here on a clean bulking diet? I need a good diet to work with to fit my needs best.
www.fitday.com
Track your diet for a few weeks, then slowly start adding additional clean calories as you gain weight.
If the diet you are on is maintaining your current weight, add an additional 500 or so calories per day and see how that works for you.

Been working on heavier weights/less reps for a couple weeks now. Went back to lower weight/fatigue yesterday and i'm all torn up.
also: bodybuilding.com is a great site.
Got set up on the local YMCA's Nautilus networked system dealie this morning.
Wacky fun. It's like having a little GameBoy screen keep track of your reps. (when it works)
Absolutely.

I am up to 153 pounds, the heaviest I've been since I started doing martial arts about six years ago.
I've been shooting for 3750 calories a day. That means I've been having generally two protien shakes a day (two scoops of muscle milk, 14oz of 2% milk, and a banana) after I work out.
I've been doing this for about a month now and I'm finally seeing some results. I'd be happy with 3 pounds or so a month especially if I can stay as lean as I am.
It's a learning process, but we shall see what we see!
You have the same shaped ribcage that I do. I hate it, how do you feel about it?
What's wrong with his/your ribcage?
I dunno, my ribcage is pretty neat. My sternum cracks sometimes, which is pretty odd, but other than that it's okay.
Why do you hate it so much?
Beside the fact that it gave up on you and your ribs are faulty like a little girls I mean.
Does anybody in this thread know the number of a good veterinarian?
BECAUSE KIDNEMO'S PYTHONS ARE SICK
That's a good line. I'm going to use it to roll up on the bitches.
Yeah, looks normal to me.
Kid, you said you have 2 scoops of muscle milk with 14oz of milk? isn't that like almost 50g? I used to try two scoops of whey with a cup of skim milk and it would remain clumpy. I upped it to a stein sized portion of water instead and i still get queasy with that much protein at once. It mixes but like 15 minutes later i'm ready to barf. I'll be dammned if I'm splitting my intake across even more liquid/servings.
Muscle Milk is mmm mmm good! Muscle Milk Oatmeal is pretty damn good, too. If only they made Muscle Milk Grits, I'd be in heaven.
Oh Yeah! bars are a tasty source of protein, too. They taste like PayDays and fill you up so you don't end up getting that Gyros you've been starving for.
I first saw the picture on my iPhone and it looked like you had the same odd, non curving ribcage thing I have. I don't like it, but I don't like anything. Your mom likes it though.
I see now that I am on a proper monitor that you don't have that going on, so I guess you can go back to sucking dicks or whatever.
LOL. I've heard a variation of this before.
Does anybody know the number for animal control?
*roll-up sleeves*
BECAUSE THESE PYTHONS ARE ON THE LOOSE!
I know it's kind of the point that your body doesn't get used to HIIT running, but I've been at it for 2 weeks now and it's still fucking kicking the shit out of me.
Just got out of kickboxing and I was a bit gassed at the end. It's amazing how much cardio I have to make up from taking just a week off (just went one day last week due to my elbow). My elbow is good enough now that I can box tomorrow, though I'll probably go southpaw the whole time just to be safe. I hate taking a step back in cardio, though.
lol! The lady will be hearing this for sure.
70g.
Muscle milk is pretty tasty, but some of their flavors can get pretty ill. Chocolate milk and strawberry shake both taste pretty good in 14oz.
See, there ya go.
Proof positive that muscle milk is tasty.
Some people handle protein shakes better than others. I can drink them all day (well, usually), but I know guys that either get sick or get the hershey squirts something fierce.
After workouts I usually have 2 scoops of whey (about 40g) with some kind of juice or Gatorade, then eat a regular meal about 2 hours or so later.
BTW, here's something to lol @: Starting today, you can actually get protein shakes at Starbucks- they now carry whey protein and fruit.
I'm allergic to dairy so no whey and soy is for girls (4 realz) so I stick to pea and rice proteins. I'd like to go hemp as it fits right in with other aspects of my lifestyle but it's gritty enough to wreck the roof of your mouth after a big shake and it doesn't taste good. I knock down bigass protein shakes all the time. I can't recall the gramage and I'm not rushing to the kitchen to look, but I think I'm getting plenty.
Oh I've read and read and read. After drinking soy milk and using lots of soy products since 1991 I gave up that shit a couple years ago. A little tofu in my miso is fine as is edamame. But other than that it's outta here. There are plenty of nonmeat/nondairy alternatives.
Are you a vegan?
No sir! I like plenty meat. Beef and pig do make me fat though and the amouint of work it takes to kill off that fat makes it seem like a losing proposition. But I still eat that shit.
and have the lil love handles to prove it
Just imagine if you didn't use soy milk all that time, you'd be impregnating us all through your posts. It's like when Cable has to suppress the virus with his telekineses or something (I stopped collecting comics when I turned 16).
I don't know shit about cable except he can link viper beams in the air.
Even Superman has a weakness.
I never listened to any of it (unsweetened soymilk was my favorite beverage of all times) until I started reading http://www.mikemahler.com/ That guy is as far as I know a pretty well respected dude (and 100% vegan) in the fitness world so I figured it'd be worth some more research.
And it isn't just about bitch tits or wimpy dicks or sexual stuff. Hormone balance plays a huge role in one's mood.
