I use it, it provides an incentive to get out and take a walk during the day. I've taken probably millions more steps than I would have without it over the past whatever years.

Theres a motion capture fitness phone app where you punch asteroids and fill up meters called Superhero that you guys might want to check out.
Have you guys heard of the "Lunk Alarm" at Planet Fitness? An alarm that the workers sound when they feel like you are "intimidating" someone. A few thoughts...
What do you guys think?
Cut the small talk and just sell me the Russian dick pills.
I have a bunch of clients that absolutely love their garmins/fitbits.
I personally don't use one, but Im cool with anyhing that helps keep folks motivated.
That's great
This is like total spam bot, but I'm responding anyway.
I just started going to PF and I found it pretty ironic that the lunk alarm with its text that makes fun of intense weight lifters is right next to the judgment free zone sign.
No one should be judged, except for specific people.
Question, have you guys ever heard of the "Lunk alarm" that they have at Planet Fitness? It is a very loud alarm that the employees sound when they feel that someone in the gym is being intimating or as they call it "Gymtimidating". Here are some interesting thoughts about it... What are your thoughts about it? I set it off last week and can't stop thinking about it.
skymikes has a friend.
AND WHATS THE DEAL WITH THE LUNK ALARM
A gym buddy of mine and myself are ALWAYS doing the "how many reps did you get? oh cool, I got that many +1".
Its basically to the point now on some lifts when one of us finishes we dont tell the other person how many reps we got just in case we need to say "great job on your 12... I did 13".
Its always easier to beat the number than to set it.
I blame me for acknowledging the lunk alarm guy.
My bad.
My handstands are consistently breaking the one minute mark now, so that's pretty cool. Been working tons of shoulder and hamstring flexibility lately too.
Been working towards a one arm roll out from standing. Not super close yet, but hoping by the end of summer being able to bang out a few in a row.
Also, new shirt design for my gym:

Should've just gone all the way and done 48 hour fitness.
I'm glad to see that all-natural bodybuilding is making a comeback.
I think if I was that size, I wouldn't be hammer curling 55 lb dumbbells so much as I would just be throwing them to the Mars
All synthol, all day.
Over the past month I have developed a lot of forearm pain that's really bad with certain exercises. It's bad with certain types of bicep curls, pull-ups, barbell rows (it's bad all the time really, just REALLY bad there). Twisting the forearm (so holding out my arm and twisting in each direction) aggravates it, especially when bent. I won't be able to see a PT for a while. Anyone have things to try to make it better, in addition to rest?
I fucked up my shoulder senpai. Going to the sports doc on Wednesday.
could be a longshot and obviously don't blame me if this makes it worse, but it sounds RSI/carpal tunnel/tendonitis-y. I mean obviously if you think it's broken or something, don't wait it out. I've had very good results with using youtube exercises for things like tendonitis, maybe try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1pypluO1rQ ? Or search around for a video with exercises that don't strain the forearm.
I had to stop playing bass for a few months because of the exact pain you're talking about. I did stretches, and saw a PT and eventually it went away.
For chest Excercise?
Try steroid
This one is on the verge of becoming a real boy
In this thread you become real man.
Here we break you back, make you humble.
Last post 2018? Anybody here still working out? Powerlifting is kinda' my thing now.
All the gyms in the world are closed now. I've been doing bodyweight exercises at the children's playground at my local park lately. I've developed a bunch of compound movements that I do circuit-style utilizing kiddie gym equipment that are pretty effective. Variations on rows, pullups, squats, push-ups, and so on. I've even developed goofy variations on fly movements using the swing sets and lateral movements utilizing gallon water jugs. It's amazing what you can come up with when you have no other alternatives! I'll continue until the gyms re-open and I can get the feel of cold iron in my hands once again.
Clever. Once the lockdown ends, you could also use children as free weights.
Yeah, weights are about $4 a pound right now. For those that have never sold weights, weights are normally $1 a pound. I've been picking up some when I go grocery shopping and selling them on ebay. The people driving up the prices are people making north of six figures in Cali and the upper north east coast.
Its pretty nuts. Its like black friday on weights every second of everyday. Like when I pick up some chicken, ill roll by and get 2 10s, 2 5s, 2 15s. I'll list them as I'm loading the car and they will be sold before I get home.
If amazon restocks, you can see the quantity tick down in real time.
I kind of lift now. I need to get more serious again and keep on a schedule. I for whatever reason felt I should build a home gym before this all started. So I have an olympic bench in a side room. I can do all the compounds with it. Even repainted the old rusty weights.
I was able to get 275 lbs at 2$/lb before everything really went south and I've been using rubber bands to make up the rest. It feels so weird.
