Oh please. I lived through Ronald Ray-Gun. You think I give a shit about some pissant in Tehran who doesn't even have his own people's support? I had no problem with the Republican's starting up the Missile Defense again, and I approve of any plan that includes Russia instead of excluding them.
This isn't "Ray-Gun's" era. Terrorist groups were "milder" back then when compared to today's fanatics. I swear, we're reverting back to the crusades (by that I mean the Muslims using religion to kill in massive quantities), but instead of swords, the world has nukes. Don't underestimate the lunacy of the Muslims over there - they're fucking bonkers and have a hatred for us like no other. It's only a matter of time before we witness some really bad shit over here in the U.S involving nuclear weapons. I just hope it never comes to that and I'm the one that's wrong about all this.
Had a big answer all typed out and things crapped out on me. So heres the bullet point answer instead.
Crusades are Christianity's gift to the world. Pope used it to get all the European Christians to stop killing each other and start killing infidels.
Nukes are political weapons. N Korea wants them to have a bargaining chip, Iran wants them to prevent American invasion (supposedly. Right now I doubt there'd be much of an Army to invade with unless everyone just said fuck Iraq we're goin to Iran). Whomever is backing these terrorists knows that America is the only country to use nukes in the field and have stated as a national policy that any biological, chemical or nuclear attack against them will result in massive nuclear reprisals. Therefore terrorists won't be getting their hands on nuclear weapons unless they steal them.
Should we be on our guard? Absolutely. Should we be shitting ourselves in fear? No.
I hope there's a nuclear war. This place is fucking boring.
Bin Laden is financing the terrorists, as well as many people we would never assume. That said, it's entirely plausible that being the billionaire he is (I'm sure he's stashed some cash before his family "disowned" him) he could buy a nuke from the black market for the bargain price of $10-$20 million and wait for the right opportunity to use it.
I agree, I'm not going to let some asshole or group of assholes dictate whether or not I live in fear, but just hearing about this stuff has me concerned that Iran is silently helping the terrorists and there really isn't much we can do about it.
Spoken like a true Internet Explorer....
Funny, everyone are talking about it these days. It's also making waves in the local debate. Could it be related to the Newton headlines recently?
