As I recall he made the web stuff before he got powers. He developed this quick set glue but the downside was that it all fell apart after an hour, so no one would buy his invention.

I just can't take another origin movie. So here I am, I'm the old guy who doesn't want to watch more of this shit that I didn't mind a good 5-10 years ago. How time flies.
