Since we basically spent the last 3 pages of the last thread arguing over what villians would be in the next Spiderman, we might as well not stop the discussion because of the omfg database.
I'm saying Lizard, to finally pay off on the Curt Conners cameos in all 3 movies, and X, where X is a villian that will not even have as much impact as Goblin, Doc Ock and Venom.

Agreed, after spider man 3, i said to myself "thats it, no more". the only thing cool was Venom, why they didn't do the whole movie or half of it with that character is Bleh. sm3 went into the too much characters, not enough plot. Hopefully they'll listen to what people have said about the lackluster part 3, and go back to basics a bit. have just one main villian, and maybe an ancillary villan that's not too much of a threat. Or just set up the bad guy for part Five. Whichever, but not cramming everything in there all at once.
I'm all about Venom coming back and Carnage showing up.
It would be the best, and most unlikely, course they could take with a fourth movie.
i think spiderman's big problem is, that while it is a great orgin story, the more it goes on the less you care. it's the kid with no luck, nothing will ever go his way, and it will always be that way. it kinda gets annoying.
that being said, i still liked the last one. i thought it was fun and entertaining. i didn't mind the no back story on venom, cause really, no matter how they woulda explained it, it would've sounded dumb.
as for villains, lizard and a non gay kraven is what i would like. kraven could even be hunting conners, so instead of a villain team up, it could be more of a free for all.
I'd kinda like the Black Kat to show up.

This is Sony we are talking about. "Back to basics" resulted in SP2, a movie that has already been destroyed by SP3 in terms of profit, and the latter has had far more competition. I don't think it would be that difficult to make Carnage and Venom. Most of the time they would just be normal looking characters anyway. Ok, Carnage not so much. But if they can get Doc Ocks tentacles to look normal, they can get Carnage and Venom.

I saw Spidey 3 for the third time last night and I still think it was a great movie. Actually, now that I think about it, she could purposefully infiltrate Kraven's show/hunt to find out information about the Lizard and Kraven for Peter. Maybe Kraven falls for her and learns he is duped when he sees MJ kissing Peter/Spider-man, only fueling his anger towards Spider-man.

I think it might be interesting to keep her alive (just a bit longer).

Pirates 3 was horrid, Spider-Man 3 is waaaay better. And Spider-Man 3 is pretty sub-par but ultimately worth seeing. It's just not an A+ HOLY SHIT but more like a B-, not bad.

Buy an HD-DVD player then...they're cheap as fuck. You can get a fairly decent HD-DVD player for under $200 now and its more than worth it. I have a Toshiba HD-DVD player and the PS3 for Blu-Ray movies...and the amount of HD-DVDs I have far outweigh the Blu-Rays. Plus, HD-DVD is the superior format IMHO.Quote:

Yeah. The original plan was to have Sandman and Vulture. This is supported by storyboards in the "Making of 3" book. At the near last minute, Arad and his crew basically told Raimi that Venom would be in the movie, so things had to be rewritten rather quick.
Hence, Venom getting straight bricked on.
I can't fault them for forcing out Vulture though. Worst Spidey villain ever.
