I had read comics for years as a kid then "outgrew them." When I got back into them in college Thunderbolts was one of the ones that got me hooked. That and Preacher.

Shane Black is fucking awesome. In addition to his small part in Predator, he also wrote Lethal Weapon and essentially invented the '80s action buddy cop flick genre. He is the patron saint of the Dirty Nineties.
