Holy shit. That is all.
That's freaking sweet.
Really cool.
But what happens when images are similar enough to get confused by the program? And can it be used for facial recognation?
Fucking nutty.
You can test it out right now. Awesome as advertised.

holy shit! MS just made Minority Report look like a silent movie.
Word, Seadragon x Surface is nuts.
I just tried out the tech demo, and actually getting to use it is even cooler then seeing someone demonstrate it. That is just too fucking awesome.
That's pretty fucking amazing.
The pr0n possibilities are endless.
Well damn Microsoft is making steps to making the fake software they used to bluff Denzel Washington in Deja vu, a reality.
I will echo the "wow" sentiment.
Wow.
Looks cool. That site hosting the video has the worst fucking layout though. Light grey text on white background. WTF?
This is pretty goddamn cool. I like the zoom thing a whole lot (Google maps amirite).
If it doesn't end up being a free web app, I wonder how much they'll charge to use it. Huh.
This is gonna be pretty huge huh.
Wow, hadn't seen that before.
I can't wait until they start embedding ARGs into this. I can imagine having to zoom in on the President's eyeball 1000 times to see the info needed to continue playing a game of finding clues.
Kind of a weird first thought, but I think that would rule. Finding hidden stuff in super high-res images would be awesome.
Edit: Wow at the Photosynth stuff.
That's amazing.
Wow.
Photosynth is live now. Go have fun with it!

i am really impressed. this is like a 3D gigapan.
cool, except for how they are trying to coin the word "synthing", or "synth".

Unfortunately, we're not cool enough to run on your OS yet. We really wish we had a version of Photosynth that worked cross platform, but for now it only runs on Windows.

Trust us, as soon as we have a Mac version ready, it will be up and available on our site.
Yeah this is why someone will come along and steal this and make it better and I won't have to buy a Microsoft platform in order to use it.
So has anyone made anything cool with this yet?
I just noticed when Brand put this up. Still, that is amazing stuff.
