I've mentioned Amok Time Toys, the collectible store near me, a few times in thread. In addition to a great selection of old and new stuff, they also have a toy line of their very own that they add to a new figure or statue to here and there. In the past they've done stuff based on Day of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead, Vincent Price, and so on. I know the owner, and he's been trying to do a Re-Animator figure for, like, ever, but licencing issues have always thrown up a roadblock. In particular, this figure got held up a bit due to disputes with Jeffrey Combs' management, who were being dicks for a while (making demands about the number of figures due to be manufactured, etc), despite having already signed a contract to do the figure. But the legal shit is finally straightened out, and Paul (Amok Time's owner) recently posted pics of the prototype Herbert West figure, due to hit shelves in Spring of 2015. Getting this thing made has really been a passion project of his.
This is very early- articulation hasn't been added yet, the paintjob will be refined and improved, and the glasses (which are removable) will look a hell of a lot better (right now they look pretty shitty, but the final version's will be totally clear and painted and the rough bits of the sculpt will be smoothed out), but this gives you an idea of what the final product will look like. There will be two versions, one based on the original Re-Animator and one based on the sequel, each featuring a different sculpt and accessories. Since Re-Animator is one of my all-time favorite horror flicks, I'm really looking forward to this figure.
