I'm sure Contra's been ruined far before they announced these figures. Besides, if the line dies you won't get those AvP arcade repaints that you're keen on buying.

You have a point about AvP, but with regard to Contra I meant new IP to NECA. I hate that the VGA is going to be the first and maybe only use of those molds.

edit: I'm going to flip my shit if CPSII AvP is some SDCC exclusive bullshit.

Actually, they're not. The Contra figs are re-using NECA's Rambo and Dutch (Predator) molds. They're just slapping new heads on 'em.

Appropriate, considering the game's box art homages both of them. :)

Ah, that makes sense, especially since that's essentially what Konami did.
