This is the creepiest thing I've ever read.

only if you're secretly a child toucher
why did your mind even go there?
Yoshi, I'm pretty sure that's the Hasbro Generations Arcee. Seems like an awesome figure but goes for around $30 these days.
Got me the NECA Commando figure to go along with his big brother. :)

All of those Re-Action figures have been god awful. The only good thing about them is the card.
Did those start as reproductions of unreleased '70s and '80s toy lines? I thought they did, then I saw a Nightmare Before Christmas line.
Yeah I believe the originals were reproductions of unreleased toys but then it snowballed from there.
Why did Dinotrux not exist when I was ~5?
We had Robotix
"Just in case GoBots weren't generic enough!"
Robotix was like a mysterious holy grail for me as a kid.
I only had one episode of it on tape. And Children's Palace had an Argus set put way way up and it was always there when we went. I couldn't have it because the sets were so expensive. Every time we went I would dream of what magic must be behind that exaggerated painting of a front box cover.

I eventually bought one in that short lived Toy magazine that was an inch thick and made of newspaper paper.
I like that it's essentially an entire toy line dedicated to Truckasaurus Rex.
I really liked the villains of the Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors show. The toys were pretty awesome. You could take them apart and build whatever you wanted.
Funny to think these guys went on to write Babylon Five.
A friend had a couple of those, I never saw the show though. They were just extra vehicles for Ninja Turtles or whatever.
Yeller, if you got ninja turtles to fit in those things, you very well maybe a witch.
They'd ride on top, IIRC. Scale wasn't a major concern.
Particularly this thing:

That brain sure looks like a poo.
Wheeled Warriors had a nice opening. I guess all those shows back then did.
ALL those brains looked like poop. They were a lot more memorable because of it, in retrospect.
I got this for Christmas like 3 years after I'd asked for it, which meant my dad found it on clearance somewhere. I thought that was weird, but it still became my favourite toy I ever had as a kid. I don't think I ever actually built Argus out of it, but the cockpit part often saw service as Cobra Commander's whip, and the astronaut pilot it came with was my favorite figure of all time.
I think this was the last modern cartoon with toys I watched. The opening music is so serious. Still a bunch of action shots though.
I had that Robotix thing, totally forgot about it. It was really awesome.
Hasbro's new Sentinel Prime looks awesome.

So red astrotrain. Ok.
I want the Alternators to come back. I'm not feeling the more recent and Cybertronian vehicle designs.
Alternators has evolved into the smaller masterpiece line. Of course, they're $60 a pop now instead of $20.
I can't believe how cool Gundams have gotten in the last few years. I used to build them as a kid and a friend gave me a cheap old school kit recently and I had fun building it so I started looking at what's out there now and holy shit. They have a line called "real grade" that are small and cheap like normal kits but super intricate and complicated and challenging to build. I couldn't resist grabbing this bad boy. Came out pretty nice.

Does it look like that out of the box, or was there painting involved on your part?
Real grades are designed to look good out of the box, but I like to paint so I did do some detailing. I painted the inside of the burners red (like in the chest and on the shoulders) and I painted the clear parts (like the scope and the eyes) clear green on the front and silver on the back. I also painted the antenna on the head and the spanners on the shield. I traced the panel lines with an ultrafine gray marker and then wiped most of it off so the lines were really thin, and then sprayed the whole thing with a matte clear coat so it doesn't look as plasticky.
But if you just snapped it together out of the box, it's still going to look "correct," with all the right colors. It doesn't "require" any paint, I just like doing it.
EDIT: Here's how it looks bone-stock out of box, but it also comes with decals, so if you put those on and trace the panel lines with a marker, it's going to look pretty nice.
I thought that too until the Jazz RX8's arm kept falling off every time I breathed on him.
I used to drive Downshift :( The Grand Marquis I bought from my grandfather's estate isn't nearly is rad and I don't think has a Transformer.
I guess technically I drive old G1 Camshaft, but I'm not hunting that one down.
I do want to drive a Space Winnebago!

That is an ugly jet.
NECA's Alien's Power Loader is out. Holy shit.

Moar pics here: http://news.toyark.com/2015/10/27/ne...gallery-180780
NECA got the Uncharted license. It's not Indiana Jones, but I'll take it.
Jesus Christ, dat loader figure...
I'm not sure where to post this:
NECA is making a life size (36") Aliens egg and face hugger: https://twitter.com/NECA_TOYS/status/665241635593175040
That is a terrible sculpt for something that crazy.
I'm hoping it's really early and more of a mock up.
Looks more like a bodysnatcher pod.
Oh shit, Tracks is out now? time to make an order.
http://hlj.com/product/TKT83175/Sci
Got him from HLJ.com...for me, he was $58.72 including shipping. He would have been cheaper, but they had to account for the extra weight of the flight stand.
SOLD.
And a Nendoroid Darth Vader to go with it: http://hlj.com/product/gsc44581/Act
Warnings for Tracks:
1 - Pegging in the mirrors...open the roof, slide it back, and brace the inside of the door...use your fingernail to push the side mirror into the hole...you will feel it slide in securely. It'll take some effort, but it can be done.
2 - Separating the legs for the first time for robot mode is HARD. First, open the hood and split those pieces, then PULL and wiggle the legs back and forth along the middle and they'll slide apart. But good LORD is it difficult at first.
Check out some reviews for him online.
Today's acquisitions.

What in the fuck happened to Leatherface? Was there a Commodore 64 game?
Atari. It's the most hideous one NECA's made, and that's saying a lot.
Custer's Revenge: Gimp Edition
Nothing phallic about either of those poses, no sir.
Eye of the beholder, IMO.
MMC Sphinx, just received today...he really feels like an official Takara product.
That Doomsday is pretty awesome.
It is! I got the previous "gimp" version a couple years ago, but missed out on this on initially. Found it for a good price today.

I still can't believe they made a Jason Mr. Potato Head.
Jason's pretty cuddly these days
Got gimpy for around $10 in a trade. The one today was $50. I think it all worked out pretty darn good.
Yep, I'll be buying that.
I so wanted to talk about these back in June.
That's pretty cool, slightly disappointed the Arnold and Sly heads got changed from the customs. Interesting that NECA's whole deal seems to involve crowdsourcing ideas from their audience.
Ready to bust some heads... in a spiritual sense, of course.

Bummer that the mask doesn't glow, but otherwise a sweet figure.
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/tnl/att...1&d=1449434515
I, for one, am glad it doesn't glow. That shit was pants.
And I still don't have this yet. Congrats on being first, Dole.
Thanks. I'm shocked I ran into it a my local TRU this soon. Usually I see this stuff up on ebay well before it ever gets to me in NY; this is because NECA stuff usually ships figures to Cali first and then they make their way east from there. Maybe not this time?
The tune the box plays is hilarious, BTW.
The articulation vs sculpt balance seems to go too far in favor of articulation sometimes, IMO.
Yes, but it wasn't too long ago where it was the exact opposite.
Sometimes companies are really good at hiding their articulation. For the most part, NECA is really good at that; that Jason figure I just posted has torso articulation, but it's actually under his shirt. But in the case of Ray there, I think they should have skipped the torso joint. It's not like he needs to hit any ultra-dynamic poses.
I need my Ghostbusters to simulate realistic bent-over vomiting poses or no sale.
this looks pretty nice.
Star Wars 7 Rey figure.
I'm always surprised how willing people are to buy super-expensive merch for movies they haven't even seen yet.
obviously he is going to fuck it
GAZE UPON MY WORKS YE MIGHTY AND DESPAIR, eh?
Despair is right. That's one ugly shelf what goes there.
:tu:
Jesus. Only half paying attention, I had to scroll up a bit to see if Despair had come back.
Seconded.
This is my Christmas present...

Needs more dinosaurs.
