What is with all the crying? Contra has been garbage since Hard Corps (yeah, even Shattered Soldier) so I don't quite understand why anyone is surprised by this. At least it is 2D instead of that garbage 2.5D. My only worry is the developer. Why the fuck does Konami farm out their top franchises? At least the Scorpion King game on GBA was pretty good. It played more like Rastan than a Contra style game but I thought it was really well done. They should have had the team that did Ninja 5-0 do this instead.

I could see how that could piss some people off but there is a decent reason to do so. It continues the story directly after part 3. What else should they call it?

As far as Resident Evil goes Resident Evil:Umbrella Chronicles should have been part 4 since it will complete the original story and RE:4 should have been a new beginning. But that is an argument for a different thread.

Christ, you'd think they'd learned their lesson after what happened with Legacy of War. And right after that colossal fuck up, they turned around and let the same developer do it again. Its like getting prison raped on OZ and spreading your asscheeks and saying "Please sir, may i have another?"
