Ok WHICH current Rally game is supreme?

ok, I really love the Sega Rally games and the rally levels in Gran Turismo 3 and am wondering which rally game should I get? Which has the best graphics, which has the best gameplay, and overall, which do you guys think is best? From the sound of things, Rallisport it seems is the best, and it seems it also has the best graphics. But I've also heard good things from WRC and Colin McCrae...how are those games in comparison? Thanks for the replies! I have all three current consoles btw so that's not an issue.

Personally, I find Rallisport to be the best rally game, and possibly even my favorite racing game ever (topping GT3, even). Oh, and it has the best graphics too.

Forget the graphics, rallisport has that sproingy feel as you slide perfectly 60 feet through a tight turn...it also has genuine rally tracks, as opposed to closed loops. Tons of cars, too.

Which is not to say that Sega Rally 2 isn't great, because it is (even though the CE-ness of it drives me nuts) and McRae's the only one that tries to simulate the real rally scene (like anyone here actually cares). But Rallisport won me over. The more time I've spent with it, the more I think it's one of the best driving games I've ever played.

CR MacRae is great for the simualtion guys, Sega Rally is perfect for the arcade guys, Rallisport is perfect for those who like themselves a little of both. I think a follow-up is in the works.

Just buy V-Rally 3 when it comes out.

For me Sega Rally 1 was the best rally game in existance for the longest time. I played various other ones, but none of them, not even the dissappointing Sega Rally 2, managed to convince me they were better than Sega Rally 1. Then came RalliSport. Marvelous game. It sucks you in just like Rally 1, plus it looks amazing. The added bonus of listening to your own tunes and deciding what camera angles you can use to play it are icing on the cake.

Rallisport.

VRally for the DC is the best rally game on the planet. It looks as nice and sometimes better than Rallisport and the actual feel of driving is more accurate. It's also only gonna cost you like 5 bucks.

holy ASS, does that VRally game on DC really look and feel THAT good...? Seriously? It couldn't possibly match Rallisport's visuals...but to the rest of you, how does the gameplay compare between the two? Anyone play WRC? How's that one?

WRC is great if you like Colin MacRae style sims, and you don't mind it being a fair amount inferior to CMR. Personally I hated WRC's control =/ Shame too, becuase it had promise.

V-Rally on DC lookiing better at times than Rallisport, shit I forgot about that... that and Test Drive 6 looking better at times than Gran Turismo 3. Shit.. aren't you the same person who said DOA3 didn't look as good a DOA2 on DC?

Rallisport, without a doubt. I'm not big on racing games, and I can't stop playing the demo for this game. It's nice to look at, fast, and has good gameplay (with a ton of modes also). I may have to end up getting this one myself.

Just get VRally on DC and you'll see what I'm talking about. Cream of the Crop.

IMO sloppy control, nice lighting effects looped tracks, mostly forgetable... the style was fairly pedestrian... nothing I would really write home about compared to other gems that pre-date it. A solid effort for sure, but like I said, nothing at all incredibly special (personally I liked SR2 better than it).

and I'm wondering, what part/aspect of the graphics in V-Rally on DC actually look better than parts of Rallisport? I just can't seem to fathom this.

V-Rally is GREAT fun for it's track editor alone. You can almost litterally make rollercoaster tracks. A worthy purchase indeed, but still behind Sega Rally and RSC.
