All's I'm saying is, no matter what grassroots manages to do, corporate media can destroy it. At least as long as the TV exists.
I was around for a number of Dean meetups once upon a time. Lots of good momentum, lots of good hype, positive directions, the whole bit. A lot of people put a ton of really good work into the campaign, really inspiring stuff. He was going to be the guy.
One sound byte gets run into the ground, by cable news, by radio, and a week or two later, everybody's packing up shop.
So, fuck it. There's no getting around the media machine, especially as this is a democratic system. There are more people watching (and listening to) the damned tube than you'll ever get into all the indy coffee houses in all of the country. If the tube doesn't know about it, it doesn't fucking exist. Ron Paul does not exist.
