I believe in it. I don't, however, believe that humans are capable of causing it. On the off chance we are, China and India are doing far more damage than we are.
I mean, did we cause the ice ages that have occurred multiple times in the earth's history to end? Maybe it was those evil gas guzzlers the whooly rhinos drove.
I'm sure that humans are at least partially causing it.
I do actually agree with you that China and India are a much bigger problem.
I'll be honest, that's a sensitive issue for me. I don't believe we are causing it, but I am concerned for the environmental effects in general, especially any species that may be lost. However, extinction can be a natural occurrence as well, unfortunately.
Well I'd at least like it if soccer mom's cared about someone other than their kids. They all drive SUVs cause their kids are so awesome and great. At the very least it is a waste of gas.
The best part about running out of oil will be the inability to produce plastic.
I'm 100% behind reducing oil dependence in the future. I drive a gas guzzler, but it only takes premium gas, so at least it burns cleaner. My next vehicle will be some alternative fuel source, provided the technology matures by then. It'll be at least another two years.
plastic isn't THAT important. None of us remember it, but there was a time when consumer electronics were produced without it. AND plastic can be made without oil by using chemical extracts from other things. It will be interesting to see how our environment will change if and when we are forced to have a bare min of plastic in our products. LOL at how much tires are going to cost ( if we still have vehicles).
THAT IS THE SINGLE DUMBEST THING YOU HAVE EVER SAID.
So much shit in our modern society is based around plastic. The medical fields would collapse. Clothing, consumer electronics, plastic is everywhere and it's responsible for huge tech leaps.
And don't tell me we can find cheap alternate sources...it's the same problem as the fuel problem all over again.
