moving to richmond, virginia.
any of you in those parts?
I'm willing to relocate. How many bedrooms will we need?
Everyone's moving everywhere.
If I ever go back to Miami it's not going to be nearly as good as it used to be =(
PS - don't even listen to Nick's sweet talk about meeting people, he's practically like my neighbor and I've never seen him.
Unless it works different for attractive wimmenz, which is understandable.
That's about 400 miles from me. Move closer.
Why the move, anyway? New job? Religious cult?
alas, atlas says no.
i went to visit a couple of weeks back, saw the cost of living, how eco friendly everyone is, the buildings are over 10 years old, there are seasons other than just *hot*... and many other things. i immediately started calling around for jobs and apartments. i have an apartment lined up, and have interviews scheduled.
religious cult? if you hear of a good one that needs a master and savior, let me know.
I'm going to take a guess and say you are moving from the Atlanta area, by your description.
Edit: reading is fun.
But yeah, I'll probably visit sometime, when you find out what remotely interesting things are in Richmond let me know.
Richmond is nice, I have some family in VA Beach, and Annapolis is like 2/3 hours from there.
Noooooo!
EVERY weekend I said I'd drive out your mother was visiting. It was VERY SUSPICIOUS.
This is very true. Not the age thing, I would do both Atlas and Nick in a heartbeat and at the same time, but I've totally hermitted out since I moved here. It kind of sucks.Quote:

I lived in Petersburg/Hopewell for about three years. It was definitely the coolest time of my life. I'm moving back to the RVA in about six months. I was stupid for leaving. Yeah, Florida and Georgia only have 'hot' and 'hot and humid' for weather, which sucks. The ONLY thing I didn't care for in Virginia was the ABC store. Other than that, yeah, Virginia kicks ass. It's what Maryland wishes it could be.

Whenever I went to Virginia it sucked fierce. So I'll be willing to either meet you half-way somewhere or you can come to NYC. I'm sure someone will house you.
I'm so fucking glad I moved out of Florida.
Is this a solo venture, or is Timb and the gang going too?
Good luck with the Move, moving sucks and is expensive. And shit always gets lost, I hope you don't lose any thing in the process.
I actually bumped into Nick downtown one time, said "hi, I'm from TNL" and he told me to go fuck myself.
If you are planning to meet Kidnemo over the next year, let me know. I will chip in for gas. I have secretly been training to fight him and have a few surprises in store sweep the leg.
Atlas is moving? She's the girl with the big knockers, right? You should come out to Chicago to visit your friend Moz.
good luck.
You can come out to DC/Bmore. Josh will get you drugs and Destin will woo you with sweet japan talk.
You probably would have liked Charlotte better than Richmond. However, you are now well within traveling distance of Dollywood, thus making me want to redouble our efforts for getting that get together rolling again.

Think about it Atlas.
Then he took ten showers to wash away your germs.
I'm in the Schaumburg area, so that's about an hour away from his Milwaukee ass. But yeah, I'll definitely let you know, probably within the next month or so.Quote:

She's been promising to visit for years, girls are liars =(Quote:

I live in outside of Norfolk about an hour and some change away from Richmond. They used to have a pretty decent music scene there but that stopped pretty dead in its tracks a couple of years ago. Most good acts go through Charlottesville now. I actually haven't been to Richmond in a long time, I drive through there a lot though.
Too bad I'll be making an "I'm moving" thread here in a couple of weeks as well. Except where I'm going is more expensive and far away.
Good, I hope you don't have the internets either, so you'll have to bitch to IRL people about popular topics and sellouts.
Monster
I lived in downtown Norfolk for a few months and it was totally awesome. I wish I was still there, and plan to move back someday in the next few years.
Virginia > Maryland

I've lived in South Florida my entire life and if I could move right this instant I would. I'd tell you how horrible this place is, but I wouldn't know where to begin. The people here have to be some of the rudest, ingorant, class-less people I've ever come across. I can't wait to move. My wife and I are looking at the Raleigh area in NC, and the overall difference between there and here is like night and day.Quote:

I liked you better before you were a mod. Back then you were like my own special TNL secret, now that you're all cool though, you're like a shell of your former self.
I'm leaving in a little more than a month to London to do god knows what for I don't know how long. I'm being adventurous and extraordinarily dumb while I can still afford to. Then I'll go back to school.
Virginia is really nice, if not too humid in the summer. You kind of get down on the place where you grew up, and I'm pretty down on the area now, but I've really always liked it here, there's a bit of everything in the state. One thing about Richmond that bugs me is that's where every scene/hipster in the state moves. Which is why the lack of good concerts is kind of strange.
You free next Tuesday Mech?
Yeah your about 2-3 hours from myself, chux, korly, josh, and all of josh's bandmates. Riches also lives down in maryland most of the year.
For the record though, MD > VA. Va peoples are crazy.
Lets call the boys, lets run a train.
Sorry, that wasn't appropriate.
What moving company are you using?
I live in Canada.
Africa?
It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
No, that's too soon. I've only been training for two months. Kid's been training his whole life and has a reach advantage on me. I'd get fucked up like one of the guys Kimbo fights.Quote:

Sorry if your close but I left ya out.
All the NYC homies are not too far away either, probably a good 5-6 hour drive or so.
I propose DC/MD/VA (NYC if you guys feel so inclined to drive down) meetup at some point, culminating in DC and Baltimore outings. Their is no shortage of killer bands playing either the 9:30 or Black Cat in DC or Ottobar/Sidebar in Baltimore, so perhaps a good show can be the plan.
Well, Rich wanted to drive down to MD for some parking ticket he had to fix. I was going to tag along and get my damn CvC tee but I don't know what happened to that.
Yeah thats totally cool. Also if we do it before the summer is over, I have a house, with 2 open king size beds and like 4 couches, in case we need somewhere to get drunk. Also we have a 60 inch high def, 360, pool table, and all the instruments of a band (although not much space to jam). Just a thought really, after summer is over, the beds will be more taken and we will have far less room.
Parking ticket? I gots to show up for court for an alcohol citation. I'm pretty sure I got it squashed with the assistant-DA though. I'm still down for a trip however.
If worse comes to worse, you can come down with me end of August since I'm going down Tuesday-Friday the first week then coming back from my bro's engagement party. I'll have to go to like 2 classes, but it's nothing but drinking the rest of the time.
work is vastly over rated
thats why i skipped work today
The day is young. You still have tons of time to drink and smoke
old
The great east coast TNL Day of Debauchery at Destin's Den of Inequity. Count me in!
Anyone feel up for this, this weekend? Plans or anything? I'm not sure when my other roomates are coming back, not that its a big problem, but some more of the beds will be taken up.
If I had a car I would be in. Oh and money.
