Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Pretty good episode last night. I enjoyed the future war scenes, although I didn't really understand what was happening to Derck Reese and the other captives. Obviously, whoever was controlling that Terminator and playing the music in the basement of the house didn't have anything to do with Skynet. And what was being done to the people when they were taken to the basement? I guess this will be answered at some point, unless they said what was up last night and I just missed it.

Also, it’s interesting that they may be some hidden secrets between Cameron and Derck.

Overall, the show keeps getting better each week. I really like it now.

I also enjoyed Dean Winters character this time, and all of his scenes with Cameron were blast. I loved him visiting Cameron, whos first cutting terminator apart, preparing him for the bar-b-q and his: Very Scary Little Robot Girl line was priceless. Among with Cameron's: I freaked him out :p

Yeah, I'm a big Dean Winters fan. I was glad to see his character get more screen time.

My biggest gripes this time around are with fx and future scenes. It just didnt work, which made me sad. It felt worse than D grade Sci-Fi channel stuff. Robots dragging turbine, sky hunters, lazers, looked extremely cheap :( even for tv standards.

Well, I can't complain much about ep. 6. Yeah, yeah, Terminator body on a wooden table with skinny legs and all but that was easy to ignore.

I hope they don't set Cameron up to "go bad" and get killed off. She is still the one carrying this show and just about the perfect person to play a Terminator. Maybe her intentions are good with the chip and she just can't reveal them to young John yet. After all, she said she can't take orders from him yet in the pilot. Derek freaking at the sight of her could have something to do with his general mistrust carrying over after being left out of the loop on his brother's dissapearance. We'll see.

I'm thinking it's some kind of self preservation directive; she has to make sure the terminators get built so she ends up existing

that, or skynet is actually running inside her mind and she's setting them all up

Or this show just has poor writing. I haven't made up my mind yet.

All jokes aside, this really isn't canon is it? Too many things have happened that conflict with the movies.

I don't understand how that even works. Why would this mini-series trump the third movie?

Everything after Terminator 2: 3D is a wash anyway. Count what you want.

Because the plot of the 3rd movie was monkey poo. The makes of the TV series had the right idea ignoring it.

If the third movie is ignored then yes, the plot of the TV series kinda makes sense. Another thing I don't understand is why send in the old terminators (and a bunch, at that!) instead of about 4-5 T1000s and end this in one episode.
