No, I'm pretty sure I never called either of them "really bad games." Dull and soulless, though, sure. :tu:

I do like a few PS2 games though. Some of my notable favorites would be: The Maximo Series, Jak Series, Sly Cooper Series, Zone of the Enders 2, God Hand, God of War, Rygar, Shadow Hearts, and Wild Arms 4.
I like all of those games, but I'm just saying that I still prefer more pick up and play games like: Cannon Spike, Crazy Taxi, Mars Matrix, Zero Gunner 2, Zombie Revenge...and so on. I just don't see enough games like this these days...unless maybe I start importing.
then you got more problems then we thought.

Agreed, Motorstorm is outstanding gameplay wise. It looks great, it plays great, it just lacks variety.
Resistance isn't anywhere near "REALLY REALLY good". Especially in comparison to the ridiculous FPS's that are coming out this fall. It's an fun mindless average shooter overall, with an average storyline, average atmosphere, and average weapon selection. I don't know if you played the same game I did, but there was zero "strategic weapon usage". The only strategy that you need is "which gun has the most ammo", and the idiot AI will take care of the rest.Quote:

And none of those moments proved to be any bit impressive/holy shit awesome.
I DID enjoy the game, but gushing over it proves how limited your experience is with actual great FPS's.
I agree with you about Motorstorm lacking variety. Hopefully this is something they will fix with a sequel somewhere down the road.
As far as Resistance goes, I respect your opinion that the game wasn't that fun for you. In my experience though, a FPS has to be really top notch in order for me to enjoy it...and I greatly enjoyed this game. That being said, maybe I did come off like I was gushing about it. In reality...if I had to give the game a letter grade, I'd say its about a B. Its obviously not as good as something like Half-Life 2, Chronicles of Riddick, or some of the other FPS that I like..but I did find the game to be addictingly fun.
