I will agree that the 360 controller is currently the best, but I guess it is a very subjective topic. What I CANT understand, however, is why so many people prefer the Gamecube controller. God I hate that piece of crap.

The original quote about GTAIV on 360 was that there were problems with both machines. Getting the Cell processor to work right was a pain, as was dealing with the possiblity of no hard drive. I still say GTAIV should be hard drive only, screw those without.
I was going to complain about the Rockstar/Sony press release, until I tracked it down and realized it was a blog entry-

No title, no developer, no hint of when it's coming out. No information at all, really. For a press release that would be a complete waste of time, but I suppose it's passable for a blog entry.

sixaxis rumble next month.Quote:
SAN JOSE, Calif., Jul 11, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Immersion Corporation (Nasdaq:IMMR), a leading developer and licensor of touch feedback technology, today announced that gaming peripheral manufacturers Hori (U.S.A.) and Katana Game Accessories have both entered into patent licenses with Immersion, including rights for advanced vibro-tactile, spinning mass gaming technologies for dedicated portable gaming devices and computer and console video gaming peripherals. Hori develops peripherals and accessories for gaming consoles such as the Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox, and Nintendo products. Katana designs, manufactures, and in September 2007, will begin distributing peripherals for Sony PlayStation products in North America. Under the terms of the license, these products will now bear Immersion's Feel The Game® TouchSense® Technology logo.
"All our products are built with the strictest standard of quality," said Yuuki Mizutani, of Hori (U.S.A.). "Rumble technology is one of the key features that makes playing racing and flight simulator games on Hori controllers easier and more realistic."
"As a company that has just entered the console accessory business, Katana is focused on providing very high-quality products to enhance the Sony PlayStation gaming experience," said Katana President Chris McGlynn. "We consider Immersion's technology a key ingredient and look forward to putting it to work for PlayStation gamers."
Hori and Katana (whoever that is) are all very nice, but until Sony brings out the rumble themselves there's not going to be any support. Plus, if Sony does something weird with the way their rumble is set up, compatibility might be a problem too.

the the 360 has that "happynet" or whatever where the XBLA games are beta'd before they ship and we kind of know what's coming out for it in the near future.
do we ever know what's coming down the pipe for the PSN?
