I can totally see Lair being as bad as EGM says it is. I've watched just about all the media put out for it and it just doesn't look very good. Again, I'll wait for the demo like everyone else (more than 5 minutes this time guys) but I'm not expecting alot more than some pretty character models.

On the other hand, it's probably got to be somewhere towards the middle of where Play & EGM say it is. I know Play's famous for wildly overating things but I don't remember Takuhi as being an untrustworthy reviewer.

got a bit of a problem and wanted to ask here before i call tech support. just got my ps3. i have an sdtv (yeah yeah) and originally had generic component cables. on black screens i can see a rolling interference bar. spans the length of the screen, travels from the botton up (almost like the refresh differences you see when they show a monitor in a movie). it's REALLY prevalent in the Resistence demo where the normal grey/brown area amost have a purple tinge to them whever the bar is. so i bought a set of SONY brand ps3 components and it does the same thing. no speakers around, no interference like that, that i can imagine. cables plugged right into the tv, not into a switchbox.

try letting the system determine the settings itself. when you turn it on hold the power button untill it double beeps, the system will autoconfigure. if not that i can only imagine its the TV, or the ps3.

edit: try it at a friends house? thjat can easily determine if its the system

Google ps3 ground loop.

I ended up having to take my cable(signal) out of my TV for it to go away.

hope the pics turned out okay. has never happened with any other system on the tv. dvd player, dvr box, ps2 and xbox all look perfectly fine.

my guess is its the TV. Try at a friends house. AND what chux said cause ive heard about the ground problem as well.

just put a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter on it and its now gone. didn't have to snap anything off. thanks for the suggestion b, and thanks a bunch to chux for the link :tu:

Bladestorm demo is up on the jpn store, not that good imo.
