Anyone here a fan of john woo's movies or specifically, hard boiled? I just picked up the dragon dynasty re-release of this one and I had almost forgotten how crazy the action scenes were. I was waiting for this 2 disc set because there doesn't appear to be another remastered anamorphic version of this movie on DVD (surprisingly so) I liked seeing the 2 hours of bonus footage and the commentary & interviews with woo were really informative.
This movie is a classic. Hopefully this will sell well enough for Dragon Dynasty to pick up the rights to rerelease The Killer as well.
Eh, this shit was just too dumb for me to enjoy all the shooting. <3 The Killer though.
I have the DVD release that came packaged with The Killer and the transfer is terrible. Might have to check this out.
How does the Dragon Dynasty version compare to the Criterion Collection DVD?
