Anyone else pick up DQIV this week?
I've put about 5 hours in so far and I'm about half way through the 2nd chapter. So far I haven't noticed any major changes but I love the look they went with. I kinda wish they had taken the same approach to FF III & IV and not gone totally 3D.
Picked it up yesterday afternoon. Loved it way back in the day, and loving it more now. Excellent.
crud. i won't be able to get this for a while. what are the extras?
Just about done with the second chapter, loving it even more than the last one.
The prologue is from the PS version? Thought it was something made for the DS version.
Picked it up yesterday, but had to go through HELL to do it. Well, well worth it though. The last time I've beaten this game was around NES release. I've played it several times since then, but for some reason quit on ch. 5.
I picked it up yesterday as well. I won't play it; however, until I complete FFIV DS.
I'm all for relieving the contemporary player of the need to grind for hours to progress in a DQ game, but does anyone else feel like they dialed the difficulty down a little too much here?
Seems like it's a little easy, but then again, I'm playing it the way Aeana suggested on GAF - Explore all the map and dungeons, use items, use buffs and debuffs. Don't Grind. It's a lot more fun. I usually play RPGs by selecting "fight" for everybody, do heavy grinding, and save for all the most expensive shit at every town for every character. This is a lot less tedious and a different experience for me.
I don't think I could play other RPGs like Vesperia that way, though.
