If you're the type that's ever going to be good with the sniper, you're going to be good at it pretty quick. Look at Cap, he never used to really go after it in the beginning, but when he did, he was great with it within a week or two.
I'm not saying don't grab it ever, I'm not great with it but I'll go after it maybe 2-3 rounds a set. But if I'm not doing well with it and the rest of the team is getting rocked because the other team's all rolling together, it's obvious I need to stop playing Lone Wolf McQuade and start helping them out.

Lag keeps me from being great. I got good with the sniper when I was hosting. If I'm not host I find it hard to adjust to the lag.
I admit, I am no good at the sniper.

Sniping is fun especially when I get that 1 in 20 head shot, it is too much fun. Bacon is right tho... a good plan of attack is when your team is getting butt flanged it is wise to give it up Tom style and move back to shotty.
