Bungie needs to make their matchmaking/lobby system a middleware solution for other developers. They'd make a fortune and every multiplayer game would be so much better.

That would be outstanding. CoD4 has a matchmaking system that works pretty well, but it still isn't as fully featured as Bungie's. Any matchmaking system is better than what Gears currently has though.
I don't hate Gears. I actually really like Gears, and if it had more than 1 game mode worth playing I would have played it more often.
I could be convinced to partake in some Gears tonight. Last time I played, though I kept holding down the R bumper to pick up weapons. :lol:
Halo 3 did the same to me when I went back to play Gears. I got used to the large number of useless weapons in Halo that when I went back to Gears I didn't pick up shit just to keep it simple.
It's called variety. Just because you can enjoy playing the same things ad nauseam doesn't mean other people do. It doesn't matter what the game is to me (even Halo), or how great the core gameplay is, without variety there is no way I am playing any game multiplayer for extended periods of time. It just bores the shit out of me.
You don't have to join us. Keep riding Opaque's jock to superstardom in Halo.
