I've got 100+ badges over the last few days and the entire time Wintergraps or wahtever was bugged so not one could get the stones for controlling it.
I would have a free Mammoth right now if we had control that whole time.

That what I was going about in my posts. Easy accessibility is one thing, but being able to finish everything easy and then wait months and months for the next released dungeon without real things to do, will bore a lot of the subscriber base.
Unless Bliz is quick with the content patch releases (which they never really been)
It'll take a little while for everyone to get geared. I'd say two months minimum of someone going to every raid lock possible to get everything they want. If you have to PvP or actually help others gear up until 3.1 so be it.
It's refreshing though, that Malygos puts up a fight.
She won't when people are actually wearing a full epic PvE sets
Still the Malygos fight requires some skill and is a really neat fight. As long as fights are enjoyable I don't care how hard they are :P
I caved and finally picked up Burning Crusade today, and may pick up WotLK here soon. I'm currently reinstalling WoW and then BC, but I was curious as to how it works with the servers and the expansions. Will I be able to play on the same server as those who have WotLK just not partake in the new material, or are there now different servers for different expansion? Also, if I am able to play on the same server, what server is everyone playing on, and anyone interested in playing BC or is still on BC?
Yes, you can play on the same servers but you can't go to the new areas until you have the expansion installed & meet the level requirement. TNL plays alliance on Shattered Hand.
Paladins are seriously nothing like what they used to be, ret pallies are probably the most overpowered class spec in the game right now. I'm guessing from your comment on just picking up BC that you never played it, so they're now effective tanks, healers, and DPS instead of just being cleanse bots with a backup flash heal. You might want to go ahead and check them out again.
That said, everyone loves different classes, so, uh, what do you like doing?
As for WOTLK, the earliest possible time it could affect you would be level 55 if you wanted to make a DK, otherwise you won't be needing its content until 70. Don't worry about it until you get there. BC you'll still need to play through to go from 60-70, and there are people working through there on alts and DKs and all that.
I may stick with my paladin that I believe was in the 30's. Otherwise I may like to make a warrior. I'm more into playing as a strong melee character.
I just finished installing WoW, but now I have to dl the patch which is taking FOREVER, and then time to instal BC.
See you on there.
It's gonna be a while. I'm only on patch 2.0.1 and have a few more to go, and then I still have to instal BC. I'm definitely going to be playing tonight, so if anyone is up for getting together in game and helping a noob level up, lets do it.
Remember to whisper up a member of Rampant Fronting so we can get you in there and start making fun of you.
Quick question. I finally got WoW completely updated, and during the process I registered BC on the website. When I put the BC disc in, there is no instal, it just asks if I want to play. Do I need the BC disc in to play it, or is now on my computer?
Made a Draenei warrior names Rikkusan. Add me as a friend so you can make fun of me.
I'm guessing that because I activated BC on the website, and then installed all the patches, I didn't need to instal from the disc, which is why it took so freaking long. Anyways, I have been playing a little here and there tonight. Only lvl 6 draenei warrior right now, but I'd like to try to get up to lvl 15 tonight.
EDIT: Does anyone happen to be playing as or have a low lvl (10-15) Draenei? I'm trying to lvl up and just get out of these starting islands, but there is hardly anyone playing here, let alone people who want to part up.
Four nights of raiding and only one boss left of current content?
: / I'm actually kind of concerned. I don't mind them making things a bit easier but I shouldn't be able to take a bunch of guys who've never seen the fight, myself included, to the Obsidian Sanctum, give a brief rundown based on what's available on wowwiki, say the old "And the only way we're going to learn more than that is to give the guy an attempt" bit... And one shot him.
That's fucking stupid is what that is. There's hardly any game here if it's going to be like that and I'm in lawlz gear still because I've been passing all over the place.
Pretty xpac though. Just needs to be more there there. I don't expect Sunwell, but it needs to be harder than Ramparts.
Don't be fooled; Naxx and Sarth = Heroics of BC = UBRS. They've just made the loot in them purple so everybody feels like they're a winner and powerful. I'm sure the upcoming raids will be harder but still far more "accessible" to "little timmy"s.
They've said that they want people to be able to get into raiding early so that when Uldaur comes out you're not still working on shitty content and never seeing things. They intend to make Uldaur a lot harder and IceCrown won't be even close to the breeze through you're seeing now.
I've been grinding my all way weekend to get to WotLK asap. Got to lvl 25 last night after 3 days, so hopefully over the next 2 weeks, I might be able to make it up there.
Thanks to whoever helped me out in the deadmines yesterday. Sorry, I haven't figured out who's who with all the names yet, but thanks a ton.
Mzo = Mzo, Caduceus

Also, register for RampantFronting.com and I'll approve the account.
You're set up.
You're probably high enough to grab the one from Wetlands too, pick it up if you can. It's from the dwarves way up in the north at Dun Modr.Wow, people actually do that instance? Free xp is free xp, I suppose.Quote:
I only have one for Blackfathom Deep so far, but I will try to pick up more tonight or tomorrow.
Most of the quests for it are from dirty NE lands, you likely picked it up going from Exodar to SW since they're the connecting hub. To get more of them you'll need to take the boat back to Auberdine and poke around. There's some good quest rewards and drops in there, it's just that it's way out in the middle of nowhere.
VERT R U COMING TO NAXX 2NITE
blackfathom deeps is still one of my favorite instances. <3<3<3
That's a relief. I really don't think that the difficulty of, say, M'uru is ever necessary. That felt more like hammering nails through my dick than playing a video game. But here we are, a new guild and no yelling on vent for kills, I've been forgetting to take screens because it just doesn't feel like we've done anything, it's kinda lame tbh.
We spent a night on Malygos and couldn't get him down, he really is the end boss of the game right now and it's a cool fight.
We need a DK with the Frost spell resist aura to take the edge off of that vortex. Or Gift of the Wild. And maybe a little better gear, we went sailing blind into that encounter and still did okay for ourselves. But let's not get down on the content. We have 2 iterations of the endgame behind us, we're just experienced and good at what we do. We've all had shitty PUG players making things hard for us even in WotLK.
I wasn't saying he was ridiculously tough just that he wasn't a walk in and handle the fight type of an encounter. It helped to learn some of the fight. I just want us to be able to do the 10 man and 25 man encounters, considering the biggest upgrade I'll get drops off Heigen.
Yeah we went in and checked him out. We only had time for one pull, so we quickly got our asses kicked but saw enough of phase 1 for me to figure out what went wrong. We have the two classes you mentioned lacking and fortunately the players behind them are apart of our core that I'd bring to any raid. I hate the idea of changing your raid makeup just for fight x. Along with lol CoH spam to bump us through the vortex, I really won't be surprised with a full night of attempts leading to a kill.
The most important thing about Maly though is that the fight sounds insane and I can't wait to see it all. Regardless of difficulty, it sounds like it's going to have the most epic moments in an encounter since the roof blew off Tempest Keep, and even better that this time we won't just be watching a mid-fight cut scene.
Bleh.
I feel like shit right now. I hate moving.
Obsidian Sanctum. Wow.
We didn't read up on the fights and just figured them out on the fly (One of our shamans gets amazing props for calling out the first lava wave and saving everyone) and no one died even once.
The only bad part was we thought that bad of spoil was full of gems and shit, and our master looter ninja'd five badges.
I learned a new minor glyph. Big day!
nobody levelling in northrend has any resilience anymore. This is good news for dagger rogues lol.
Now that comcast's latency issues have cleared up and I'm off til monday it's GRIND GRIND GRIND TIME.
Okay, Malygos was fucking FUN.
More like that plz
Out of curiosity what are you guys doing for dps on bosses?
Specifically guys like Patchwerk where these is no aoe and no down time.
I averaged 4.1k DPS last 25 man we did for Patch. Granted I'm a hunter, and I'm also awesome, so that plays into the numbers a little.
I think I was 3.2k on my best attempt and like 2.6k on my worst hah.
I'm 74 now, and on the weekend I ambushed a 72 warlock, which somehow crit for over 8k, one shotting him from full health. I have no idea how or why it was that big, but FUCK.
We've killed Malygos before Opaque has even killed Loatheb. My favourite stat is deaths in Naxxramas; Me = 38, Opaque = 64.
LOL.
Ain't Armory a bitch to fronting?
Champions of the Frozen Wastes holla at ya.
Champion of the Frozen Wastes doesn't mean shit.
Destined has it.
Yes, because he has Circle of Healing, when that gets nerfed Destined will be lucky to outheal a shaman in blues.
His accented "e" got in the way of targetting.
I played like worthless trash in Naxx and managed to not shock anyone, how hard is it to look at your debuffs and then press a movement key? Shit, you don't even need to do those things at the same time.
I don't doubt that your larger guild will be able to move through this first (easy) stuff faster while the rest of my guild levels to 80. We have had a lot of nights fall apart because we just don't have the numbers.
When Ulduar comes out the real test will start.
EDIT: also I killed Loatheb in ten man Naxx the week I turned 80... so you must be talking about heroic.
I just hit lvl 75 with my mage.
My ice barrier now absorbs 2800 damage.
MY INTERNET DICK IS TEN FEET LONG!
ROFL @ OPAQUE
Keep in mind, compared with old entry level raiding, Naxx is a fucking joke. You should be able to full clear with 6 people
This screenshot was on the main page. Is this Sylvannas? Or just some Dark Ranger , WC3-type thing (in...Scholo?). The unique modeling here looks pretty nice...I wish they improved the poly count with the expansion, and that player models could have modeled details on something other than their head and shoulders.
-and while it could just be the angle, that model's sporting a nice rack (especially for an elf-type), something always improved with higher poly counts. Hopefully that's a customer re-customization option ; )
It should have been obvious that I know Naxx is a joke when I called this content easy. Or did you skip that part?
Side note: first attempt on Heigan with the guild only 5 of us survived the first blast since not everyone had seen it before, but instead of wiping the five of us just finished the fight. Hurray for no enrage timer.
Yeah, this is really sad. When we finished 10 man we only had 19 on but we went to Sartharion with what we had and one shot with the Less is More achievement packed in. A week later, we've cleared most of Naxx having never had a full raid. KT is all that's left and he didn't die due to time constraints.
So I'm in an odd spot as GM where the combo of finals and now the holidays have kept our numbers down. I don't want to recruit more because in just a couple weeks this will be over but fuck I'm tired of putting things off for these people. I'm pretty against over-recruiting but the holdups are getting silly. This should have been a one week clear of all content and... I guess I'm bitching a bit much with only two bosses left.
But still.
Damnit.
After seeing the mass cryfests that occurred just from Blizz slightly altering animations I'd almost be scared to see the backlash from them improving the old models.
I think the 3.0 Sylvannas model is also used on the dragon queen, or maybe she got her own unique model as well. Thankfully the upgrades are mostly regulated to just the high elves, so I can still make Vert a clone of Chromie whenever I want to.
Good lord you just can't help yourself from fronting for no reason. No excuses. You stayed away from Rampant Fronting because you wanted to have a more hardcore raid schedule then you thought they would keep. Just admit defeat when it happens.
The content isn't just easy Opaque, its a joke. You should have been done with it two weeks ago to keep up with the expectations of your epeen.
Ulduar will probably eat you alive kid, and so would old WoW raiding. Count your blessings that you never got to see it.
Eh I dealt with this in old Skull during the Xmas season. Nothing a joint Guild run wouldn't solve if you are that into doing it over the holidays.
Other than that, you should use the time to just veg out and let your officers run the nut house for a bit.
Van Cleef down!
No I stayed away to stay in a IRL friends guild.
I said if I was going to leave that guild I would rather go to curtis' guild , which by the sound of this is progressing faster than you guys are. That's the key word you all have such an incredibly hard time catching: IF.
And the only raid schedule I didn't want was the potential month long breaks Mzo brought up. The game has been out for like one month, it's no a magical force that's keeping your guild raiding in these early days. If you guys keep raiding nonstop through the end of all content I still won't fell bad for staying in the guild I'm in. Now if I leave for another guild that isn't RF and you guys destroy that one, I'll feel foolish.
No those are your expectations.
I have realistic ones based on how many guildies we have at 80. Content difficulty being low or not, 5 people do not clear 25 man Naxx, don't be fucking stupid.
I highly doubt it and what the fuck could you possibly be basing this on? I used to sit and wait for 8 hours to get a clan match in Halo 2 just to get hacked against. I can imagine the pain of putting together a 40 man is much as long and painful as that is.
We have had nothing stop us so far (except school, work and conflicting schedules during this holiday season) and I'm raiding with people that did Sunwell... I doubt Ulduar is going to be so hardcore that people who did that content won't be able to hang.
Who knows though, maybe you're right. Maybe Ulduar will be the end of WoW as we know it.
Tonight we did Obsidian and most of Naxx so I figure that tomorrow we'll be finishing off Naxx and Thursday Malygos. I'm fine with that as long as shit dies this week and, yeah, I went ahead and told 'em that next week we're off. I like raiding but it's easier to call the 25 man schedule when numbers will be tight than try to piece shit together with whoever we find laying around. I'm definitely not bothering with another guild because the last thing I want is an epeen fight and loot drama.
Also - is Opaque actually stuck on Loatheb? Because that's a one shot. On any mode. Your dps needs to step up.
Please ask your GM (HI MZO) how much shit he puts up with that annoys him. It's not always that simple for the people making your guild possible.
I already said I killed him the week I turned 80. I don't know if they're talking about how little I've progressed in heroic version, or what.
I have cleared 10 man Naxx and everything else outside of Mal which we just got the key for. This week on Thursday we're going to try to get a Heroic Naxx going with another group in a similar situation; that being that they can clear the 10 man content but don't have the bodies for 25.
Should be a fucking cake walk if everyone shows.
Oh I thought you were in RF. Which I thought Mzo runs but I could be wrong about either. But point being you told me that if I didn't enjoy something not to do it. My complaint was that I like raiding, with these people, but it's frustrating trying to pull one together with finals and the holidays. There's a gap there, between your point and anything that makes sense, and that's that one requires someone taking care of the other, and that's kind of my job now.
DO SOMETHING ELSE FOR TWO WEEKS.
We'd be done with 25 man content, except maybe Malygos, if the servers would permit it. None of it is tough and we've had the numbers, but lag makes dps fights impossible.
We hit the enrage timer on fucking Grobbulus, it's that sad. Shattered Hand runs on hamster wheels on raid nights at the moment.
Actually, I'm not in Rampant Fronting.
I do want to say about Ulduar is a gonna be a big deal for Blizzard. The more I observe the shit going down in this new raiding game, the more I am realizing I don't think we are going back.
I think the difficulty content of this game is most likely never going to return to Pre-patch levels.
We'll see though.
P.S. Nowhere did I say 5 people could clear Naxx. That was someone else. Also, for the record, a good gauge on difficulty in this game is if a raid is puggable. If a raid can be pugged at release (don't know about your server but on mine, yeah Naxx was being pugged two weeks into it, 10 and 25 man) and significant progress can be made by any random selection of people, then the raid isn't difficult. If Ulduar comes out and People are pugging it within a two week period, it will be failure.
Isn't Shattered Hand one of the handful of very first day of release servers that never got the hardware updates the way the other servers did?
Or did I just make that up. I seem to remember a handful of servers were not able to get the proper updates way back in the day when Blizzard first implemented em.
This time of year used to be nasty on raiding guilds in particular. Even the most hardcore ones would drop their shit for a good 2 week to 4 week period.
I remember a break around this time 2 years ago that lasted from mid December to mid January. We beat the shit out of the content in front of us after that break though, but generally unless your packing 150+ individual members, the holidays are a nightmare for high level raiding.
I recall that being the case way back when but I can't imagine they haven't brought the rest of the servers up to pace by now.
But hey, you never know. The 25-man lag problem is very widespread though, it's definitely not just us.
5080 achievement points HURN
Speaking of Loatheb I just did 5.3K DPS on him in heroic.
I wish I could do that all the time. Need to roll a hunter.
Anyone else experiencing the wonders of not quite ISP side disconnects today? Happening in intervals of up to 2 minutes every 5-10 minutes?
Apparently its so complicated it depends on the server your on and the company you use for internet service. Problem only seems to be affecting WoW, designated Ventrilo server's, and a few other random things.
Its by far the most bizarre problem I've ever had with the game and it looks like something finally has Blizzards hands tied, as they are actually trying to fix this but its looking more and more hopeless that its even up to them.
My buddy had that problem earlier today, and I read somewhere that it might have something to do with Comcast?
alright, posting on Shitty iPhone, here we go:
Lol @ opaque
Yes, SH has always been among the worst of the servers but we will never leave
Curtis, I do put up with a lot of shit, especially when times are bad and some people decide to take breaks and make things worse, it can feel like you're the only one who can't ever afford to stop and single-handedly keep things going. We had a big talk about officers being more involved with running the guild before wotlk started and things are going much better, some people have really stepped up. Granted the game is so easy that we have no serious problems but whatever. I know what you mean, dude, it's tough sometimes.
Yaws, dave and I kept disconnecting at exactly the same intervals like clockwork so I just turned the game off, hope they sort that out soon. I got better things to do than relic over and over.
Last night we got the achievement: "Clear Naxxrammas while your main tank disconnects during every boss encounter." It gave me 10 points and the title "Kaku, Stupid Fuck."
That's why I logged, I have better things to do than play a game that keeps kicking me off. It seems that they fixed the comcast bullshit so that is good.
You guys won't see me until Sunday, but I'm gonna get john to log on as me for the Xmas gift hollar
Also, thanks for locking biggie for just one boss, we had to two heal our run afterwards.
I tanker riverdare with 0 heals until zeliak was dead because I am hard like that.

I'm kinda amazed it took as long as it did to hit WoW. The backbones have been fucking up royally these last few months which has been sporadically affecting businesses across the country. My company got it about a month ago, some of our employees couldn't access our servers or Oracle portal remotely and it would vary from house to house and county to county. Took us about a week to figure out what was really going on (it unfortunately happened at the same time we had a conflict that was actually our fault, so that made it more confusing than it should've been).
As of Monday all content is down, so I'm a happy boy. Raiding has been called for the week and this coming Monday, numbers permitting, we'll start to work on Sarth with three drakes.
My guild may be held together with chewing gum, thumbtacks, wishes and ponies at the moment but I'll take heroic content down two weeks after we started it. Toward the end of this week we actually started having full raids. I hope that continues when we pick back up.
Warlocks are broken to shit right now. Our lack of escape has finally made PvP not just unenjoyable, but impossible. Been waiting four years for this to happen.
It makes me not even want to play until its fixed.
PvP is garbage. Absolute trash.
(I still wouldn't roll on a PvE server though)
