Sickest bail ever

Saw this on TV a little while ago:



The guy falls 50 ft. in the air and slams back-first onto a wooden ramp.

Apparently, he is out of the hospital now with a bruised lung and a (possible) bruised liver.

Pretty amazing that nothing more serious than that came out of such a brutal fall.

I was just about to post this. Dude nails the first trick and then WHAM.

I said wow.

He's one lucky son of a bitch. He technically should be paralyzed or dead. I want to know how fast he was going when he came out of the first trick. He was hauling ass.

I don't see why he'd be paralyzed he landed on his front and he hit the ground and slid which should help from the impact of the fall a bit, it wasn't an abrupt stop. So yeah that looked pretty hard but the circumstances weren't terrible, I'd certainly say not fatal.

But I'm surprised his ribs didn't crack.

NM he landed on his back, just watched the end which had a better camera.

Friend of mine fell off the roof of a five story building last december. I think he has this dude beat. Amazingly enough he did make a full recovery, despite getting fucked up pretty bad.

Also, why do people's shoes always fly off when shit like this happens?

Fast enough that he got the "speed wobble," which was probably pretty fucking fast considering that he's using pro-grade gear tuned just for that type of event.

I've gotten the wobble before while going down some moderate inclines on a $80 board, and it's probably the worst feeling you can get while skating, because you know you have about a 75% chance of bailing hard as soon as your shit starts swerving.

Uh... what else would you call it - a soft landing? I don't think we're watching the same video. Take another look. He landed on his lower spine/ass with about 1500 lbs of force at a height of over 40 ft - and walked away. He should not be a fully-functioning human being right now.

How the hell aren't his legs or vertebrae mangled?

Holy shit. Did anyone go after him? I wouldn't.
