So yeah, I've been seeing previews for this since like... January.

Anybody else seeing it next week?

I dunno. The trailer looks good, but I have a feeling they probably just put all the funny parts in it and the rest of the movie will be shit.

Looks funny, but I don't need to see a movie about a couple of nerds making their way through high school, only to be picked on until the end of senior year where they finally get the girl.

If anyone wants to drive to Rochester, I got free tickets for a preview showing tomorrow night!
(We get preview tix all the time, usually two weeks before the showing. These arrived today for a showing tomorrow. Great marketing there.)

This was written by Seth Rogan, and it is his baby. It's going to be awesome.

Apatow is awesome.

Apatow talked about it when he was on Stern promoting Knocked Up a couple months back. From what I remember Seth wrote this script a long time ago (like 6 years or something). It sat on the shelf because Seth was still a relative nobody, and the studios were reluctant to make teen comedies, since shitty movies like American Pie killed them to some extent. It was also said to be really raunchy, not sure if it got toned down for production however. Now that Rogan/Apatow have created a couple high grossing movies they get to make this one, their pet project. I have high expectations. I think people seeing commercials and thinking it's just another shitty American Pie teen comedy are getting the wrong impression.

The preview was hilarious and Knocked Up was also hilarious so I'm sold.

There is some crazy buzz behind this, I'm hoping it lives up to it.
