It's per hour. Did it take you a day to make it? Go 8 hours for the base design or whatever it took you. If it's less than 8 round up IMO. 2 hour jobs aren't worth the time. Then think of how much work it will take to customize it. If I were you I'd just get the names variably printed to save time. Printers can do this for you. Tell her you have to do all the printing for QA purposes then mark your print cost up 40%.

I recently printed envelopes and letterhead and marked it up 120%. But that client and I have a good relationship and they have more money than brains. So know your client but make money. How much you can get away with just comes with experience.

Anyway. I had BBQ FRIED ribs tonight. Kind of awesome, but I think the restaurant should put more thought into them. If you use a typical pork rip, the fat liquifies in the hot oil and makes the fried rib greaser than they need to be. They'd come out a lot better if there was less fat on the meat before frying.
