Congrats to Biff. I hope it all works out for you.
I am in a similar situation. I have been offered an opportunity to be a partner in a bar/restaurant venture in downtown Savannah GA. Last week I drove down and checked out the building and I have to say it is gorgeous. The major investor actually owns the building and has been looking for a reason to move to Savannah and sell his business in MD. When he came in to eat he would always pick my brain about what I would do if I owned my own place and I never put it together until he made me a proposal. I NEVER expected anything like this to happen in this town, but it does give me some satisfaction that someone recognized how much I've been busting my ass for this place even though I'm not even in on the action. Still, there is much to be done and a lot of planning and hard work. This will be the final step in achieving my goal in this business. It still hasn't totally sunk in yet.
Also -- I'm sorry to Josh, Pat and Rebecca because this will eventually mean me quitting the "Glad to See you Go's" Let's have a good ride before this goes down.
Savannah chicks are smoking hot, a visit would be in order.
I'll host a TNL get together at my bar when we get settled in. This is really weird - - when CvC played spring break in TX, I met this smoking hot Arkansas girl by the name of Micah. We romanced a bit at that time. I ran into her in Las Vegas last June when I was with my now-ex-girlfriend and we had a great time hanging out together. It turns out she is attending SCAD in Savannah and I spent some time with her when I went down to see the building. She is one of the coolest girls I've ever met.
IBTN,
Down south girls know how to treat a man.
Good luck Hubs, I may invest if this takes off. (I need a new tax dump off)
I spent 4 years at SCAD, Savannah is an awesome town. Congratulations!
You did? That's one hell of a school.
