I volunteer at the humane society here, and convinced my mom to adopt one of the kitties I take care of. I drove him across the state today (two hours of CAT YOWLING) and he is super happy in his new house. He was walking around like he owned the place right away. :)

Ahh baby kitty. It's always hard when kitties have health concerns. Recently my sister's cat Lady who was only 7, had to be put down. She had serious kidney problems, and there was no other option. My sister was pretty bummed, and Lady was a very sweet kitty.
Hope Gracie is good.

I picked up Gracie from the vet tonight - she's doing really well, and aside from being thirstier than I've ever seen her, she's acting way better than I expected her to. They fixed her GI issues, and all I've gotta do is keep her on a bland diet for a few days and she should be fine. They also shaved her sides and legs a bit, which makes her even funnier-looking. Beyond being a blimp-shaped cat, now she's a partially-shaved blimp-shaped cat. I picked up a cat toy for her birthday before picking her up and seeing if she'd have the energy to do anything with it, and she actually used her lower body to play with it - something she hasn't done in years.
Just won $120 or so in a poker tourny. Came 3/92. I had nearly 2/3rd of chips when we got 3 handed, and we played 3 handed for about a full hour. I then stacked the guy in last when I had A7d and he had KK. About 10 minutes later, we were even and I get AQ-- a monster 3 handed, and he had KK again and KOs me. Cost me anywhere from $80 to 140. :(
I deep cleaned my apartment tonight and I found the wires to set-up my 5.1 speaker system for my computer. I have no place to put the rear speakers, but I'll be able to set up the front three speakers and the subwoofer. I like this.

Went clearance hunting at Target, not only found some nice deals on games, I also got the Inglorious Basterds soundtrack for $4.00. Apparently someone ordered it online and returned it.
Well, at least this is a step in the right direction and they realize things HAVE to change. I'm a firm believer that no matter how much money you throw at infrastructure/public transportation, traffic congestion will not improve until you fix the real source of the problem - the incompetent driver.

I went to the dentist for the first time in nearly 10 years today. My teeth were much better than I thought. I still have to go to an oral surgeon to get some of my teeth removed (wisdom teeth that have been causing lots of pain). Wasn't so bad though and when I went to the dentist (the closest one to my house) I get there to find out the dentist is my good friends dad.
