If you're like me and very interested in the historical side of gaming, this is interesting because it likely dates the game's development from 1975-1976 instead of the usually mentioned 1972 date. http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl...11230&from=rss
I don't care much about the historical sense, but looking at the code itself is something that excites me.
That's a pretty big discrepancy in the release date. That is pretty interesting, especially since it's such an important game.

I'm also curious if the 1972 release date for Hunt the Wumpus is accurate. It seems like there's so little documentation on mainframe games and the creators often don't remember either.
