Okay ....
Detroit, Arizona, and Tampa are not cake walks anymore man. They looked pretty damn good.

I know they're not cake walks, but I got have some hope that the 'Skins are better than those teams - which I believe they are. I think our Defense is good enough to stop those teams' offensive weapons.
You still think my 8-8 prediction is crazy even though they are 2-0 right now? I know there's A LOT more football to be played this year, but they're not that bad.
They didn't impress is all I'm saying. They beat my squad. We suck no question. But those teams will put up a far better fight. Most of your games your not behind the score. So you can control the tempo, those teams have leads and dominate. I have yet to see your team struggle; on 'D' or 'O'.
I was talking about the play right before that on third down, where Curtis was wide the fuck open for an easy TD and McNabb missed him, the same way he had been missing open receivers all night.
I watched the game. To say a team that won by one score (and only led by two scores for what, half a quarter?) "dominated" is silly.Quote:
If you watched the game you would have seen how the 'Skins D was all over McNabb, the Secondary locked onto receivers, and kept Westbrook out of the end zone, so yes - I think they dominated them.
Edit: personally, I already said 8-8 is a fine prediction for the Skins. I'm just taking exception to your claims that the Niners have only made minimal improvements since 2005, which is ludicrous.
Agreed. They made some mistakes, but had some good plays as well. They definitely weren't (are) perfect, but were the New England Patriots perfect when they won their first SB with Tom Brady? No. They just executed. They proved that if you execute on both sides of the ball - you will win games regardless of who you play.
You have to have the right players in order to execute your offensive/defensive system and I really think the 'Skins have the players they need to succeed. Now I'm not predicting a SB run or anything, but given the talent and coaching on that team; anything less than 8-8 will be unacceptable. Could it happen? Sure. Just look at how far they fell after making it to the Divisional matchup against Seattle in '05. However, with a 2-0 start, things look like they're heading in the right direction.
Yeah. McNabb wasn't on point, but I think that was becuase of his knee and the pressure the 'Skins D applied on him. Those plays during the end of the game were a direct reflection of the Redskins Prevent defense (which I despise). But point taken.
I was just forming my opinion based on how well the 'Skins executed both their offensive and defensive schemes against Philly. I really don't think Philly was ever able to dictate the pace of the game, and in that sense they got dominated. Normally, Philly runs all over Washington - especially McNabb.Quote:

I'll just chalk up my attitude towards being a typical, loyal Redskins fan. The 49ers are putting the right pieces together to get back into championship form. Oh how I can't wait for these two teams to get back to their late 80's/early 90's form. Those two teams met quite often during the NFC playoffs and Championship games back then.
I can't wait until the end of October when this thread has no more Redskin bullshit in it. They have a completely unproven QB, a 5'3" #1 WR, a RB who only looked good because he was in Denver (like 27 other guys... Terrell Davis says hi), and a young, mistake-prone defense.
Here is their performance for the rest of the season:
Detroit - Win
@ Green Bay - Loss
Arizona - Win
@ New England - Loss
@ NY Jets - Loss
Philadelphia - Win
@ Dallas - Loss
@ Tampa Bay - Loss
Buffalo - Win
Chicago - Loss
@ NY Giants - Loss
@ Minnesota - Loss
Dallas - Win
Final record: 7-9, as long as that last game doesn't mean anything to Dallas.
I actually was thinking Philly might beat them the second time around. That one could certainly change.
Also: Kitna felt the hand of god!
