Truth! There is no such thing as being more visible to cars. On a motorcycle, you are invisible and there's nothing you can do about it. Pretend otherwise and you'll be scraping your skin off the highway.

The german version of the bike this is a copy of (which it is a closer copy of, since this new one has reverse like the german version. The Russian copy did not. It was closer to a BMW made in the early 30s with no reverse.) was supposedly one of the best off-road vehicles anyone made in ww2
I can only guess how much better all the new little tweaks have made it.
I don't think that any new little tweaks have been made.

While M70 keeps the aesthetics of the original M72, it is also an extraordinary road going sidecar motorcycle. The M70 comes equipped with 18" aluminum rims, 40 mm Marzochhi telescopic forks, Sachs shocks, Brembo front disc brake, and other modern features. A longer wheel base and lower sitting sidecar make this model the fastest and best handling Ural.
EDIT: Also, this thing has a top speed of 90 mph. The original BMW R71 topped off at 58
90's not very fast for a motorcycle. :D
Stopped just a little too fast this morning and had the bike's ABS kick in for the first time this morning, handy! Weird feeling, took a second to identify what was going on, but there it is.
Ever have the rear wheel lock up on you? I have. I was going about a whole 5 mph and it almost flipped me over the bike.
Would have this morning! The ABS does the tap-tap-tap thing you're supposed to do to avoid locking up. Hard stops are srs bsns.
I locked up my rear when it was really low on tread. A bit hairy, but I just kept it engaged until I came to a stop. Just don't let go of the rear brake until the bike is to a complete stop, or else you may get bucked off as the bike gains traction.
