This happens a lot in the south. Elderly woman will hit late 60 mid 70s and need a new car. She'll buy the best car she can afford to live out the end of her life in 'class.' Then only use it for groceries and to go to the doctor.
But it is almost always these older large cars. Because those brands were what was nice when they were young and women don't read up on cars before they buy them. A 1950s Crown vic was a slick car.
This car may be an ugly US 90s car, but damn if the leather seats and the feel of it going down the road isn't nice. Like a starship.

yeah, we get a lot of that here too. One guy has an orange Tide car. Another has a Budweiser car. About 5 years ago, there was another that had the hood done up like a movie poster for scar face.
There's a smurf car around here I see once a month or so but I'm never quick enough to snap a pic of it.
Resale on these is depressing. I was thinking about selling it to put on something newer, but fuck, you're lucky to get 1500 for one even though the blue book is 6k-8k
