SnSIII specifically might as well be multi with the focus on leaderboards, though. The IR passwords just aren't as nice.Quote:
There is no rational way to prefer a 360 to a PC for a single player game.

Why do you love this argument so much? The PC has some advantages over consoles, yes, we all know this. You are not the TNL Professor you fancy yourself in this matter. Here's the shocker: the inverse is also true.
Here's just one because I'm tired, and you shouldn't need to be told all this over and over anyway:
I, for one, am most fucking tired of anti-piracy bullshit literally preventing me from playing games I legitimately paid for. Or telling me I can't install their game because Daemon Tools was detected. Every year it seems I was putting up with more and more of these hassles. Couple this with the vast majority of games I buy requiring patches just to make them playable and I'm worn down. I'm beaten.
I love the potential of the PC as a gaming platform, but I've pretty much had it with all the bullshit. I'll still buy PC revs now and then when the trade-off is worth it (precision FPSs, or Oblivion for its mods), but if given the choice, I'm reaching for the 360 version more often than not.
I'll take anti-piracy over region encoding. If you don't like being told what you can do, you must really hate the complete monopoly Microsoft has created with 360 accessories. Console games are patched at least as much as PC games now.
Didn't Shiki 2 come out on every system out there at the time? No PS3 version seems strange but I'll survive.
Yep. It came out on DC, GC, PC, PS2, and Xbox.
So don't buy games that have the ridiculous shit. It's not hard. I've been playing PC games pretty much exclusively for the last year and a half and never had that problem. If a publisher wants to insult me as their customer and treat me like I did something wrong by buying their stuff, they don't get my money. They don't deserve it for the 360 port either.
Starforce is still around so it still happens. For one recent example, DiRT. And who can forget the BioShock authentication idiocy? As for patches, Two Worlds is a pretty good example of a recent game that's basically unplayable in its default state (and only marginally playable post-patches).
Two Worlds was broken as shit on 360 too, and it received patches there as well.
